und der Ritter dem Mann Gottes antwortete und sprach: Siehe, wenn der HERR Fenster am Himmel machte, wie möchte solches geschehen? Er aber sprach: Siehe, mit deinen Augen wirst du es sehen, und wirst nicht davon essen!

Darauf hatte der Offizier spöttisch geantwortet: »Das ist unmöglich! Sollte der HERR etwa am Himmel ein Fenster öffnen und Getreide herunterschütten?« Da hatte der Prophet ihm erwidert: »Mit eigenen Augen wirst du es sehen, aber essen wirst du nichts davon!«

hatte der Vorkämpfer dem Gottesmann geantwortet: Selbst wenn der HERR Schleusen am Himmel anbrächte, könnte dies nicht geschehen. Und Elischa hatte ihm erwidert: Du wirst es mit deinen Augen sehen, aber nicht davon essen.
