Und Jojada bestellte die Ämter im Hause des HERRN unter den Priestern und den Leviten, die David verordnet hatte zum Hause des HERRN, Brandopfer zu tun dem HERRN, wie es geschrieben steht im Gesetz Mose’s, mit Freuden und mit Liedern, die David gedichtet,

Jojada setzte die Priester aus dem Stamm Levi wieder in ihr Amt ein und teilte sie in verschiedene Dienstgruppen auf, so wie König David es vorgesehen hatte. Nach den Weisungen in Moses Gesetz sollten sie dem HERRN wieder Brandopfer darbringen und ihre Arbeit mit Freude verrichten, begleitet vom Gesang der Leviten. So hatte es auch David angeordnet.

Dann betraute Jojada die levitischen Priester mit der Aufsicht über das Haus des HERRN. David hatte sie für das Haus des HERRN in Klassen eingeteilt; nach seiner Anweisung sollten sie unter Freudengesängen und Liedern die Brandopfer für den HERRN darbringen, wie sie in der Weisung des Mose vorgeschrieben sind.

Also Jehoiada appointed the offices of the house of the LORD by the hand of the priests the Levites, whom David had distributed in the house of the LORD, to offer the burnt offerings of the LORD, as it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, as it was ordained by David.
