Und in diesem allem machen wir einen festen Bund und schreiben und lassen’s unsere Fürsten, Leviten und Priester versiegeln.
Die Versiegler aber waren: Nehemia, der Landpfleger, der Sohn Hachaljas, und Zedekia,
Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah,
( Maasja, Bilgai und Semaja, das waren die Priester;
And the Levites: Jeshua the son of Azaniah, Binnui of the sons of Henadad, Kadmiel;
die Leviten aber waren: Jesua, der Sohn Asanjas, Binnui von den Kindern Henadads, Kadmiel
and their brothers, Shebaniah, Hodiah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan,
Malluch, Harim und Baana.
The Obligations of the Covenant
“The rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants, and all who have separated themselves from the peoples of the lands to the Law of God, their wives, their sons, their daughters, all who have knowledge and understanding,

Und das andere Volk, Priester, Leviten, Torhüter, Sänger, Tempelknechte und alle, die sich von den Völkern in den Landen abgesondert hatten zum Gesetz Gottes, samt ihren Weibern, Söhnen und Töchtern, alle, die es verstehen konnten,
join with their brothers, their nobles, and enter into a curse and an oath to walk in God’s Law that was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord and his rules and his statutes.
hielten sich zu ihren Brüdern, den Mächtigen, und kamen, daß sie schwuren und sich mit einem Eide verpflichteten, zu wandeln im Gesetz Gottes, das durch Mose, den Knecht Gottes, gegeben ist, daß sie es hielten und tun wollten nach allen Geboten, Rechten und Sitten des HERRN, unsers Herrschers;
We will not give our daughters to the peoples of the land or take their daughters for our sons.
und daß wir den Völkern im Lande unsere Töchter nicht geben noch ihre Töchter unsern Söhnen nehmen wollten;
And if the peoples of the land bring in goods or any grain on the Sabbath day to sell, we will not buy from them on the Sabbath or on a holy day. And we will forego the crops of the seventh year and the exaction of every debt.
auch wenn die Völker im Lande am Sabbattage bringen Ware und allerlei Getreide zu verkaufen, daß wir’s nicht von ihnen nehmen wollten am Sabbat und den heiligen Tagen; und daß wir das siebente Jahr von aller Hand Beschwerung freilassen wollten.
Und wir legten ein Gebot auf uns, daß wir jährlich einen dritten Teil eines Silberlings gäben zum Dienst im Hause unsers Gottes,
for the showbread, the regular grain offering, the regular burnt offering, the Sabbaths, the new moons, the appointed feasts, the holy things, and the sin offerings to make atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
nämlich zu Schaubrot, zu täglichem Speisopfer, zu täglichem Brandopfer, zum Opfer des Sabbats, der Neumonde und Festtage und zu dem Geheiligten und zum Sündopfer, damit Israel versöhnt werde, und zu allem Geschäft im Hause unsers Gottes.
We, the priests, the Levites, and the people, have likewise cast lots for the wood offering, to bring it into the house of our God, according to our fathers’ houses, at times appointed, year by year, to burn on the altar of the Lord our God, as it is written in the Law.
Und wir warfen das Los unter den Priestern, Leviten und dem Volk um das Opfer des Holzes, das man zum Hause unsers Gottes bringen sollte jährlich nach unsern Vaterhäusern auf bestimmte Zeit, zu brennen auf dem Altar des HERRN, unsers Gottes, wie es im Gesetz geschrieben steht.
We obligate ourselves to bring the firstfruits of our ground and the firstfruits of all fruit of every tree, year by year, to the house of the Lord;
Und wir wollen jährlich bringen die Erstlinge unsers Landes und die Erstlinge aller Früchte auf allen Bäumen zum Hause des HERRN;
also to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God, the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, as it is written in the Law, and the firstborn of our herds and of our flocks;
und die Erstlinge unsrer Söhne und unsers Viehs, wie es im Gesetz geschrieben steht, und die Erstlinge unsrer Rinder und unsrer Schafe wollen wir zum Hause unsers Gottes bringen den Priestern, die im Hause unsers Gottes dienen.
and to bring the first of our dough, and our contributions, the fruit of every tree, the wine and the oil, to the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and to bring to the Levites the tithes from our ground, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all our towns where we labor.
Auch wollen wir bringen das Erste unsers Teiges und unsre Hebopfer und Früchte von allerlei Bäumen, Most und Öl den Priestern in die Kammern am Hause unsers Gottes und den Zehnten unsers Landes den Leviten, daß die Leviten den Zehnten haben in allen Städten unsers Ackerwerks.
And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive the tithes. And the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers of the storehouse.
Und der Priester, der Sohn Aarons, soll mit den Leviten sein, wenn sie den Zehnten nehmen, daß die Leviten den Zehnten ihrer Zehnten heraufbringen zum Hause unsers Gottes in die Kammern im Vorratshause.
For the people of Israel and the sons of Levi shall bring the contribution of grain, wine, and oil to the chambers, where the vessels of the sanctuary are, as well as the priests who minister, and the gatekeepers and the singers. We will not neglect the house of our God.”
