Auf ihren Gassen gehen sie mit Säcken umgürtet; auf ihren Dächern und Straßen heulen sie alle und gehen weinend herab.

Auf den Straßen sieht man nur noch Leute in Trauergewändern. Sie schreien und klagen auf den flachen Dächern der Häuser und auf den Marktplätzen der Städte. Alle sind in Tränen aufgelöst.

Auf seinen Gassen haben sie sich mit Sacktuch gegürtet, auf ihren Dächern und ihren Plätzen heult ein jeder und steigt weinend herab.
