Und siehe, da kommt einer, der fährt auf einem Wagen; der antwortet und spricht: Babel ist gefallen, sie ist gefallen, und alle Bilder ihrer Götter sind zu Boden geschlagen.

Und jetzt, was sehe ich? Tatsächlich, da kommt ein Zug von Reitern und Wagen!« Und schon ruft einer: »Gefallen! Babylon ist endlich gefallen! Alle Götzenstatuen sind zerstört — zertrümmert liegen sie am Boden.«

Und siehe, da kam es: ein Zug von Männern, Pferdegespanne. Da hob er an und sagte: Gefallen, gefallen ist Babel und all ihre Götterbilder hat man zu Boden geschmettert.
