Denn die feste Stadt muß einsam werden, die schönen Häuser verödet und verlassen werden wie eine Wüste, daß Kälber daselbst weiden und ruhen und daselbst Reiser abfressen.

Aber noch liegt die befestigte Stadt entvölkert da, stehen ihre Häuser leer, gleicht alles einer trostlosen Wüste. Nur einige Kälber weiden dort, ungestört fressen sie die Büsche kahl und ruhen sich aus.

Ja, die befestigte Stadt liegt einsam da, eine entvölkerte Wohnstätte, verlassen wie die Steppe. Dort weidet der Jungstier, dort legt er sich nieder und er vertilgt ihre Zweige.
