Entsetzt zerrissen Eljakim, Schebna und Joach ihre Gewänder. Sie eilten zu Hiskia und wiederholten ihm die ganze Rede des Rabschake.

Da kamen der Palastvorsteher Eljakim, der Sohn Hilkijas, der Staatsschreiber Schebna und der Sprecher des Königs, Joach, der Sohn Asafs, mit zerrissenen Kleidern zu Hiskija und berichteten ihm, was der Rabschake gesagt hatte.
