Ich, der HERR, das ist mein Name; und will meine Ehre keinem andern geben noch meinen Ruhm den Götzen.

Ich heiße ›HERR‹, und ich bin es auch. Die Ehre, die mir zusteht, lasse ich mir nicht rauben. Ich dulde nicht, dass Götterfiguren für meine Taten gerühmt werden.

Ich bin der HERR, das ist mein Name; ich überlasse die Ehre, die mir gebührt, keinem andern, meinen Ruhm nicht den Götzen.
