Denn ich will sie heimsuchen mit vielerlei Plagen, spricht der HERR: mit dem Schwert, daß sie erwürgt werden; mit Hunden, die sie schleifen sollen; mit den Vögeln des Himmels und mit Tieren auf Erden, daß sie gefressen und vertilgt werden sollen.

Mit vierfachem Verderben will ich sie strafen: mit dem Schwert, das die Menschen umbringt, mit Hunden, die die Leichen fortzerren, mit wilden Tieren und mit Raubvögeln, die den Rest fressen, bis nichts mehr übrig ist. Darauf gebe ich, der HERR, mein Wort!

Vier Sippen biete ich gegen sie auf — Spruch des HERRN: das Schwert zum Morden, die Hunde zum Fortschleifen, die Vögel des Himmels und die Tiere des Feldes zum Fressen und Vertilgen.
