Und ich will Elam verzagt machen vor ihren Feinden und denen, die ihnen nach ihrem Leben stehen, und Unglück über sie kommen lassen mit meinem grimmigen Zorn, spricht der HERR; und will das Schwert hinter ihnen her schicken, bis es sie aufreibe.

Sie sollen keinen Mut mehr haben, gegen ihre Todfeinde zu kämpfen. Ich, der HERR, will Unheil über sie bringen, mein glühender Zorn soll sie treffen! Mit dem Schwert verfolge ich sie, bis ich sie ausgerottet habe.

Ich jage den Elamitern Schrecken ein vor ihren Feinden, vor denen, die nach ihrem Leben trachten. Unheil lasse ich über sie kommen, meinen glühenden Zorn — Spruch des HERRN. Ich schicke das Schwert hinter ihnen her, bis ich sie vernichtet habe.
