Und wenn sie in den äußern Vorhof zum Volk herausgehen, sollen sie die Kleider, darin sie gedient haben, ausziehen und dieselben in die Kammern des Heiligtums legen und andere Kleider anziehen und das Volk nicht heiligen in ihren eigenen Kleidern.

Bevor sie wieder in den äußeren Vorhof zu den Menschen hinausgehen, müssen sie die Gewänder ausziehen, die sie im Tempel getragen haben. Sie sollen sie in den heiligen Räumen ablegen, die für die Priester bestimmt sind, und dort andere Kleider anziehen. Denn das Volk darf nicht mit ihren heiligen Gewändern in Berührung kommen.
