Die Leute von Ephraim sagen: ›Wir sind reich geworden und haben ein Vermögen gemacht. Keiner kann uns nachweisen, dass wir dabei Unrecht getan und Schuld auf uns geladen hätten.‹

Efraim sagt: Ich bin reich geworden und habe mir Besitz erworben. Was mein Vermögen angeht, wird man an mir keine Schuld finden, die eine Sünde wäre.
