Denn der Tag des HERRN ist nahe über alle Heiden. Wie du getan hast, soll dir wieder geschehen; und wie du verdient hast, so soll dir’s wieder auf deinen Kopf kommen.

Der Tag, an dem ich, der HERR, über alle Völker Gericht halte, steht schon vor der Tür. Dann ziehe ich auch euch Edomiter zur Rechenschaft. Man wird euch genau das antun, was ihr euren Brüdern aus Juda angetan habt!«

Fürwahr! Nahe ist der Tag des HERRN über alle Völker. Wie du getan hast, so wird dir getan werden; deine Tat wird auf dein Haupt zurückkehren.
