Alles, was die Mutter bricht unter allem Fleisch, das sie dem HERRN bringen, es sei ein Mensch oder Vieh, soll dein sein; doch daß du die erste Menschenfrucht lösen lassest und die erste Frucht eines unreinen Viehs auch lösen lassest.

Darüber hinaus gehört euch jeder älteste Sohn in Israel und jedes männliche Tier, das als erstes geboren und mir dargebracht wird. Allerdings sollt ihr die Kinder freikaufen lassen, ebenso die unreinen Tiere, die nicht als Opfer in Frage kommen.

Alle lebenden Wesen, die den Mutterschoß durchbrechen, und die sie dem HERRN darbringen, Mensch und Vieh, gehören dir. Du musst aber den Erstgeborenen bei den Menschen auslösen und ebenso musst du auch die erstgeborenen Tiere bei unreinem Vieh auslösen.
