Und bald am Morgen hielten die Hohenpriester einen Rat mit den Ältesten und Schriftgelehrten, dazu der ganze Rat, und banden Jesum und führten ihn hin und überantworteten ihn dem Pilatus.

Am frühen Morgen schlossen die obersten Priester, die führenden Männer des Volkes und die Schriftgelehrten, also der ganze Hohe Rat, ihre Beratungen ab und trafen ihre Entscheidung. Sie ließen Jesus gefesselt abführen und übergaben ihn Pilatus, dem römischen Statthalter.

Gleich in der Frühe fassten die Hohepriester, die Ältesten und die Schriftgelehrten, also der ganze Hohe Rat, über Jesus einen Beschluss. Sie ließen ihn fesseln und abführen und lieferten ihn Pilatus aus.
