Das war ein großes, starkes und hohes Volk wie die Enakiter; und der HERR vertilgte sie vor ihnen und ließ sie ihr Land besitzen, daß sie an ihrer Statt da wohnten,

Sie waren ein mächtiges und großes Volk von hochgewachsenen Menschen wie die Anakiter. Doch der HERR half den Ammonitern, sie aus ihrem Land zu vertreiben und sich an ihrer Stelle dort niederzulassen.

ein Volk, das groß, zahlreich und hochgewachsen war wie die Anakiter. Der HERR vernichtete die Rafaïter, als die Ammoniter eindrangen. Diese übernahmen ihren Besitz und setzten sich an ihre Stelle.
