Nun aber begehren sie eines bessern, nämlich eines himmlischen. Darum schämt sich Gott ihrer nicht, zu heißen ihr Gott; denn er hat ihnen eine Stadt zubereitet.

Nein, sie sehnten sich nach einer besseren Heimat, nach der Heimat im Himmel. Deshalb bekennt sich Gott zu ihnen und schämt sich nicht, ihr Gott genannt zu werden; denn für sie hat er seine Stadt im Himmel gebaut.
