Also ließ der HERR diese Heiden, daß er sie nicht bald vertrieb, die er nicht hatte in Josuas Hand übergeben.

So vertrieb der HERR die Völker, die Josua nicht besiegen konnte, nicht sofort aus dem Land, sondern ließ sie dort wohnen.

Darum ließ der HERR diese Völker da und vertrieb sie nicht sofort. Er hatte sie auch nicht in die Hand Josuas gegeben.
