Aber die Kinder Benjamin hörten, daß die Kinder Israel hinauf gen Mizpa gezogen waren. Und die Kinder Israel sprachen: Saget, wie ist das Übel zugegangen?

Im Stammesgebiet von Benjamin wusste man von diesem Treffen. Die Israeliten fragten: »Sag doch, wie konnte dieses schreckliche Verbrechen nur geschehen?«

Die Benjaminiter erfuhren, dass die Israeliten nach Mizpa hinaufgezogen waren. Die Israeliten sagten: Berichtet, wie dieses Verbrechen geschehen ist!
