Er aber sprach: Es sind meine Brüder, meiner Mutter Söhne, gewesen. So wahr der HERR lebt, wo ihr sie hättet leben lassen, wollte ich euch nicht erwürgen.

Da rief Gideon: »Sie waren meine Brüder, die Söhne meiner Mutter! Ich schwöre euch beim HERRN: Wenn ihr sie am Leben gelassen hättet, würde ich euch nicht töten!«

Er entgegnete: Es waren meine Brüder, die Söhne meiner Mutter. So wahr der HERR lebt: Hättet ihr sie am Leben gelassen, würde ich euch nicht töten.
