So falle nun mein Blut nicht auf die Erde, ferne von dem Angesicht des HERRN. Denn der König Israels ist ausgezogen zu suchen einen Floh, wie man ein Rebhuhn jagt auf den Bergen.

Du, o König, kannst verhindern, dass ich in der Fremde umkomme — weit weg vom Heiligtum des HERRN. Überleg doch, was du tust: Wie man zur Rebhuhnjagd in die Berge geht, so jagt der König von Israel einem Mann nach, der so unbedeutend ist wie ein winziger Floh!«

Doch mein Blut soll nicht fern vom HERRN zur Erde fließen. Der König von Israel ist ausgezogen, um einen einzigen Floh zu suchen, wie man in den Bergen ein Rebhuhn jagt.
