“Speak to Aaron and his sons so that they abstain from the holy things of the people of Israel, which they dedicate to me, so that they do not profane my holy name: I am the Lord.
»Sag Aaron und seinen Söhnen, sie sollen sorgfältig mit den Opfergaben der Israeliten umgehen, sonst entweihen sie meinen heiligen Namen. Ich bin der HERR.
Say to them, ‘If any one of all your offspring throughout your generations approaches the holy things that the people of Israel dedicate to the Lord, while he has an uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from my presence: I am the Lord.
Für alle künftigen Generationen soll gelten: Wenn ein Priester unrein ist und trotzdem den mir geweihten Opfergaben der Israeliten nahe kommt, werde ich ihn aus meiner Gegenwart verbannen. Er hat sein Leben verwirkt. Ich bin der HERR.
None of the offspring of Aaron who has a leprous disease or a discharge may eat of the holy things until he is clean. Whoever touches anything that is unclean through contact with the dead or a man who has had an emission of semen,
Kein Nachkomme Aarons, der an Aussatz oder Ausfluss leidet, darf seinen Anteil an den heiligen Opfergaben essen, bevor er wieder rein ist. Hat er etwas berührt, das durch einen Toten verunreinigt worden ist, hat er einen Samenerguss gehabt,
and whoever touches a swarming thing by which he may be made unclean or a person from whom he may take uncleanness, whatever his uncleanness may be —
ein unreines Kriechtier angefasst oder einen Menschen, der gerade unrein ist,
the person who touches such a thing shall be unclean until the evening and shall not eat of the holy things unless he has bathed his body in water.
dann gilt er selbst als unrein bis zum Abend. Er kann erst wieder von den heiligen Opfergaben essen, wenn er sich gewaschen hat.
When the sun goes down he shall be clean, and afterward he may eat of the holy things, because they are his food.
Erst nach Sonnenuntergang ist er wieder rein. Dann darf er seinen Anteil an den heiligen Opfergaben essen, denn sie sind sein Lebensunterhalt.
He shall not eat what dies of itself or is torn by beasts, and so make himself unclean by it: I am the Lord.’
Er soll aber kein Fleisch von verendeten oder gerissenen Tieren verzehren, denn dadurch wird er unrein. Ich bin der HERR.
They shall therefore keep my charge, lest they bear sin for it and die thereby when they profane it: I am the Lord who sanctifies them.
Die Priester müssen meine Weisungen beachten. Sonst laden sie Schuld auf sich und müssen sterben, weil sie heilige Dinge entweiht haben. Ich bin der HERR, und ich habe sie zum Dienst für mich ausgesondert.
“A lay person shall not eat of a holy thing; no foreign guest of the priest or hired worker shall eat of a holy thing,
Nur wer zur Familie des Priesters gehört, darf von den heiligen Opfergaben essen. Wer lediglich in seinem Haus wohnt oder tageweise bei ihm Arbeit findet, darf dies nicht!
Ein Sklave aber, den ein Priester kauft, kann von den Gaben essen, ebenso jeder Sklave, der im Haus des Priesters geboren wurde.
If a priest’s daughter marries a layman, she shall not eat of the contribution of the holy things.
Heiratet die Tochter eines Priesters einen Mann, der nicht zu den Nachkommen Aarons gehört, darf sie nicht mehr von den heiligen Abgaben essen.
But if a priest’s daughter is widowed or divorced and has no child and returns to her father’s house, as in her youth, she may eat of her father’s food; yet no lay person shall eat of it.
Wenn sie aber als Witwe oder Geschiedene in das Haus ihres Vaters zurückkehrt und keine Kinder hat, darf sie von den Anteilen am Opfer essen, die ihr Vater erhält. Wer nicht zur Priesterfamilie gehört, darf auf keinen Fall davon essen!
And if anyone eats of a holy thing unintentionally, he shall add the fifth of its value to it and give the holy thing to the priest.
Wenn jemand versehentlich etwas vom Anteil eines Priesters isst, muss er ihm alles erstatten und noch ein Fünftel dazugeben.
They shall not profane the holy things of the people of Israel, which they contribute to the Lord,
Die Priester dürfen die heiligen Abgaben für den HERRN nicht entweihen, die sie von den Israeliten empfangen.
and so cause them to bear iniquity and guilt, by eating their holy things: for I am the Lord who sanctifies them.”
Wenn sie dem Volk erlauben, davon zu essen, würden sie zulassen, dass es große Schuld auf sich lädt. Ich bin der HERR, und die Opfergaben der Israeliten sind allein mir geweiht.«
“Speak to Aaron and his sons and all the people of Israel and say to them, When any one of the house of Israel or of the sojourners in Israel presents a burnt offering as his offering, for any of their vows or freewill offerings that they offer to the Lord,
»Sag Aaron, seinen Söhnen und allen Israeliten: Wenn ein Israelit oder ein Fremder bei euch mir, dem HERRN, ein Brandopfer darbringen will — sei es freiwillig oder um ein Gelübde einzulösen —,
if it is to be accepted for you it shall be a male without blemish, of the bulls or the sheep or the goats.
dann muss er ein fehlerloses männliches Tier aussuchen, ein Rind, ein Schaf oder eine Ziege. Nur dann werde ich die Gabe gnädig annehmen.
You shall not offer anything that has a blemish, for it will not be acceptable for you.
Opfert kein Tier, das einen Fehler hat, denn ich werde es nicht annehmen!
And when anyone offers a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord to fulfill a vow or as a freewill offering from the herd or from the flock, to be accepted it must be perfect; there shall be no blemish in it.
Wer mir, dem HERRN, ein Friedensopfer darbringt, weil er ein Gelübde erfüllen oder eine freiwillige Gabe bringen will, soll dafür ein fehlerloses Tier aussuchen, ein Rind, ein Schaf oder eine Ziege. Dann nehme ich das Opfer gnädig an.
Animals blind or disabled or mutilated or having a discharge or an itch or scabs you shall not offer to the Lord or give them to the Lord as a food offering on the altar.
Ihr dürft kein Tier auf dem Altar für mich, den HERRN, verbrennen, das blind ist, gebrochene Gliedmaßen hat, verstümmelt ist, Geschwüre, Krätze oder eine Flechte hat.
You may present a bull or a lamb that has a part too long or too short for a freewill offering, but for a vow offering it cannot be accepted.
Ein Rind, ein Schaf oder eine Ziege mit einem überlangen oder unterentwickelten Körperteil könnt ihr als freiwillige Opfergabe bringen; ich nehme es aber nicht an, wenn ihr damit ein Gelübde erfüllen wollt.
Any animal that has its testicles bruised or crushed or torn or cut you shall not offer to the Lord; you shall not do it within your land,
Kastrierte Tiere, deren Hoden zerquetscht, zerstoßen, abgerissen oder abgeschnitten wurden, dürft ihr mir nicht darbringen! Ihr sollt in eurem Land weder Tiere kastrieren
neither shall you offer as the bread of your God any such animals gotten from a foreigner. Since there is a blemish in them, because of their mutilation, they will not be accepted for you.”
noch solche Tiere von einem Ausländer kaufen, um sie mir, eurem Gott, zu opfern. Sie sind nicht unversehrt und makellos, deshalb werde ich ein solches Opfer nicht gnädig annehmen.«
“When an ox or sheep or goat is born, it shall remain seven days with its mother, and from the eighth day on it shall be acceptable as a food offering to the Lord.
»Wenn ein Kalb, ein Lamm oder ein Zicklein geboren wird, soll es die ersten sieben Tage bei seiner Mutter bleiben. Erst vom achten Tag an nehme ich, der HERR, es als Opfergabe an.
But you shall not kill an ox or a sheep and her young in one day.
Ihr dürft das Muttertier nicht am selben Tag wie das Junge schlachten.
And when you sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Lord, you shall sacrifice it so that you may be accepted.
Wenn ihr mir, dem HERRN, aus Dankbarkeit ein Friedensopfer darbringen wollt, dann tut es so, dass ich es gnädig annehmen kann:
It shall be eaten on the same day; you shall leave none of it until morning: I am the Lord.
Das Fleisch muss noch am selben Tag gegessen werden, nichts darf bis zum nächsten Morgen übrig bleiben. Das befehle ich, der HERR.
“So you shall keep my commandments and do them: I am the Lord.
Haltet meine Gebote, lebt danach, denn ich bin der HERR!
And you shall not profane my holy name, that I may be sanctified among the people of Israel. I am the Lord who sanctifies you,
Entweiht nicht meinen heiligen Namen! Alle Israeliten sollen mich als ihren heiligen Gott verehren. Ich bin der HERR, und ich habe euch als mein Volk ausgesondert.
