A Vision of a Golden Lampstand

Danach wandte sich der Engel, der mit mir redete, um und weckte mich, wie man jemand aus seinem Schlaf aufweckt,
And he said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with a bowl on the top of it, and seven lamps on it, with seven lips on each of the lamps that are on the top of it.
und sagte zu mir: Was siehst du? Ich antwortete: Ich habe hingesehen: Sieh da, ein Leuchter, ganz aus Gold, und darauf eine Schale und auf ihr sieben Lampen mit je sieben Schnäbeln an den Lampen, die oben auf dem Leuchter sind;
And there are two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.”
und zwei Ölbäume ragen darüber hinaus, der eine rechts, der andere links von der Schale.
And I said to the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?”
Und ich sprach weiter und fragte den Engel, der mit mir redete: Was bedeuten diese, mein Herr?
Then the angel who talked with me answered and said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.”
Der Engel, der mit mir redete, antwortete und sagte zu mir: Weißt du nicht, was sie bedeuten? Ich erwiderte: Nein, mein Herr.
Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
Da erwiderte er und sagte zu mir: So lautet das Wort des HERRN an Serubbabel: Nicht durch Macht, nicht durch Kraft, allein durch meinen Geist! — spricht der HERR der Heerscharen.
Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain. And he shall bring forward the top stone amid shouts of ‘Grace, grace to it!’”
Wer bist du, großer Berg? Vor Serubbabel wirst du zur Ebene. Er holt den Schlussstein hervor und man ruft: Wie schön, wie schön ist er!
“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also complete it. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.
Serubbabels Hände haben den Grund zu diesem Haus gelegt und seine Hände werden es vollenden. Dann wirst du erkennen, dass mich der HERR der Heerscharen zu euch gesandt hat.
For whoever has despised the day of small things shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.
“These seven are the eyes of the Lord, which range through the whole earth.”

Denn wer gering dachte von der Zeit der kleinen Anfänge — sie werden sich freuen, wenn sie den auserlesenen Stein in Serubbabels Hand sehen. Das sind die sieben Augen des HERRN, die über die ganze Erde schweifen.
Then I said to him, “What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the lampstand?”
Ich fragte ihn weiter: Was bedeuten die zwei Ölbäume auf der rechten und auf der linken Seite des Leuchters?
Und weiter fragte ich ihn: Was bedeuten die beiden fruchttragenden Zweige der Ölbäume bei den beiden goldenen Röhren, die das goldene Öl von ihnen herab ausgießen?
He said to me, “Do you not know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.”
Er sagte zu mir: Weißt du nicht, was sie bedeuten? Ich erwiderte: Nein, mein Herr.
