A Vision of Four Chariots
Again I lifted my eyes and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains. And the mountains were mountains of bronze.

Und ich hob meine Augen abermals auf und sah, und siehe, da waren vier Wagen, die gingen zwischen zwei Bergen hervor; die Berge aber waren ehern.
The first chariot had red horses, the second black horses,
Am ersten Wagen waren rote Rosse, am andern Wagen waren schwarze Rosse,
am dritten Wagen waren weiße Rosse, am vierten Wagen waren scheckige, starke Rosse.
Then I answered and said to the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?”
Und ich antwortete und sprach zu dem Engel, der mit mir redete: Mein Herr, wer sind diese?
And the angel answered and said to me, “These are going out to the four winds of heaven, after presenting themselves before the Lord of all the earth.
Der Engel antwortete und sprach zu mir: Es sind die vier Winde unter dem Himmel, die hervorkommen, nachdem sie gestanden haben vor dem Herrscher aller Lande.
The chariot with the black horses goes toward the north country, the white ones go after them, and the dappled ones go toward the south country.”
An dem die schwarzen Rosse waren, die gingen gegen Mitternacht, und die weißen gingen ihnen nach; aber die scheckigen gingen gegen Mittag.
When the strong horses came out, they were impatient to go and patrol the earth. And he said, “Go, patrol the earth.” So they patrolled the earth.
Die starken gingen und zogen um, daß sie alle Lande durchzögen. Und er sprach: Gehet hin und durchziehet die Erde! Und sie durchzogen die Erde.
Then he cried to me, “Behold, those who go toward the north country have set my Spirit at rest in the north country.”
Und er rief mich und redete mit mir und sprach: Siehe, die gegen Mitternacht ziehen, machen meinen Geist ruhen im Lande gegen Mitternacht.
The Crown and the Temple
And the word of the Lord came to me:

Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:
“Take from the exiles Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah, who have arrived from Babylon, and go the same day to the house of Josiah, the son of Zephaniah.
Nimm von den Gefangenen, von Heldai und von Tobia und von Jedaja, und komm du dieses selben Tages und gehe in Josias, des Sohnes Zephanjas, Haus, wohin sie von Babel gekommen sind,
Take from them silver and gold, and make a crown, and set it on the head of Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest.
und nimm Silber und Gold und mach Kronen und setze sie aufs Haupt Josuas, des Hohenpriesters, des Sohnes Jozadaks,
And say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, “Behold, the man whose name is the Branch: for he shall branch out from his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord.
und sprich zu ihm: So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Siehe, es ist ein Mann, der heißt Zemach; denn unter ihm wird’s wachsen, und er wird bauen des HERRN Tempel.
Ja, den Tempel des HERRN wird er bauen und wird den Schmuck tragen und wird sitzen und herrschen auf seinem Thron, wird auch Priester sein auf seinem Thron, und es wird Friede sein zwischen den beiden.
Und die Kronen sollen dem Helem, Tobia, Jedaja und der Freundlichkeit des Sohnes Zephanjas zum Gedächtnis sein im Tempel des HERRN.
“And those who are far off shall come and help to build the temple of the Lord. And you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. And this shall come to pass, if you will diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.”
Und es werden kommen von fern, die am Tempel des HERRN bauen werden. Da werdet ihr erfahren, daß mich der HERR Zebaoth zu euch gesandt hat. Und das soll geschehen, so ihr gehorchen werdet der Stimme des HERRN, eures Gottes.
