Wenn du deines Bruders Ochsen oder Schaf siehst irregehen, so sollst du dich nicht entziehen von ihnen, sondern sollst sie wieder zu deinem Bruder führen.
And if he does not live near you and you do not know who he is, you shall bring it home to your house, and it shall stay with you until your brother seeks it. Then you shall restore it to him.
Wenn aber dein Bruder dir nicht nahe ist und du kennst ihn nicht, so sollst du sie in dein Haus nehmen, daß sie bei dir seien, bis sie dein Bruder suche, und sollst sie ihm dann wiedergeben.
And you shall do the same with his donkey or with his garment, or with any lost thing of your brother’s, which he loses and you find; you may not ignore it.
Also sollst du tun mit seinem Esel, mit seinem Kleid und mit allem Verlorenen, das dein Bruder verliert und du findest; du kannst dich nicht entziehen.
You shall not see your brother’s donkey or his ox fallen down by the way and ignore them. You shall help him to lift them up again.
Wenn du deines Bruders Esel oder Ochsen siehst fallen auf dem Wege, so sollst du dich nicht von ihm entziehen, sondern sollst ihm aufhelfen.
“A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.
Ein Weib soll nicht Mannsgewand tragen, und ein Mann soll nicht Weiberkleider antun; denn wer solches tut, der ist dem HERRN, deinem Gott, ein Greuel.
“If you come across a bird’s nest in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs and the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young.
Wenn du auf dem Wege findest ein Vogelnest auf einem Baum oder auf der Erde, mit Jungen oder mit Eiern, und daß die Mutter auf den Jungen oder auf den Eiern sitzt, so sollst du nicht die Mutter mit den Jungen nehmen,
You shall let the mother go, but the young you may take for yourself, that it may go well with you, and that you may live long.
sondern sollst die Mutter fliegen lassen und die Jungen nehmen, auf daß dir’s wohl gehe und du lange lebest.
“When you build a new house, you shall make a parapet for your roof, that you may not bring the guilt of blood upon your house, if anyone should fall from it.
Wenn du ein neues Haus baust, so mache eine Lehne darum auf deinem Dache, auf daß du nicht Blut auf dein Haus ladest, wenn jemand herabfiele.
Du sollst deinen Weinberg nicht mit mancherlei besäen, daß nicht dem Heiligtum verfalle die Fülle, der Same, den du gesät hast, samt dem Ertrage des Weinbergs.

Laws Concerning Sexual Immorality
“If any man takes a wife and goes in to her and then hates her
“If any man takes a wife and goes in to her and then hates her
Wenn jemand ein Weib nimmt und wird ihr gram, wenn er zu ihr gegangen ist,
and accuses her of misconduct and brings a bad name upon her, saying, ‘I took this woman, and when I came near her, I did not find in her evidence of virginity,’
und legt ihr etwas Schändliches auf und bringt ein böses Geschrei über sie aus und spricht: Das Weib habe ich genommen, und da ich mich zu ihr tat, fand ich sie nicht Jungfrau,
then the father of the young woman and her mother shall take and bring out the evidence of her virginity to the elders of the city in the gate.
so sollen Vater und Mutter der Dirne sie nehmen und vor die Ältesten der Stadt in dem Tor hervorbringen der Dirne Jungfrauschaft.
And the father of the young woman shall say to the elders, ‘I gave my daughter to this man to marry, and he hates her;
Und der Dirne Vater soll sagen: Ich habe diesem Mann meine Tochter zum Weibe gegeben; nun ist er ihr gram geworden
and behold, he has accused her of misconduct, saying, “I did not find in your daughter evidence of virginity.” And yet this is the evidence of my daughter’s virginity.’ And they shall spread the cloak before the elders of the city.
und legt ein schändlich Ding auf sie und spricht: »Ich habe deine Tochter nicht Jungfrau gefunden»; hier ist die Jungfrauschaft meiner Tochter. Und sollen das Kleid vor den Ältesten der Stadt ausbreiten.
So sollen die Ältesten der Stadt den Mann nehmen und züchtigen
und um 100 Silberlinge büßen und dieselben der Dirne Vater geben, darum daß er eine Jungfrau in Israel berüchtigt hat; und er soll sie zum Weibe haben, daß er sie sein Leben lang nicht lassen möge.
But if the thing is true, that evidence of virginity was not found in the young woman,
Ist’s aber die Wahrheit, daß die Dirne nicht ist Jungfrau gefunden,
then they shall bring out the young woman to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done an outrageous thing in Israel by whoring in her father’s house. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.
so soll man sie heraus vor die Tür ihres Vaters Hauses führen, und die Leute der Stadt sollen sie zu Tode steinigen, darum daß sie eine Torheit in Israel begangen und in ihres Vaters Hause gehurt hat; und sollst das Böse von dir tun.
“If a man is found lying with the wife of another man, both of them shall die, the man who lay with the woman, and the woman. So you shall purge the evil from Israel.
Wenn jemand gefunden wird, der bei einem Weibe schläft, die einen Ehemann hat, so sollen sie beide sterben, der Mann und das Weib, bei dem er geschlafen hat; und sollst das Böse von Israel tun.
“If there is a betrothed virgin, and a man meets her in the city and lies with her,
Wenn eine Dirne jemand verlobt ist, und ein Mann kriegt sie in der Stadt und schläft bei ihr,
then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones, the young woman because she did not cry for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbor’s wife. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.
so sollt ihr sie alle beide zu der Stadt Tor ausführen und sollt sie beide steinigen, daß sie sterben; die Dirne darum, daß sie nicht geschrieen hat, da sie doch in der Stadt war; den Mann darum, daß er seines Nächsten Weib geschändet hat; und sollst das Böse von dir tun.
“But if in the open country a man meets a young woman who is betrothed, and the man seizes her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die.
Wenn aber jemand eine verlobte Dirne auf dem Felde kriegt und ergreift sie und schläft bei ihr, so soll der Mann allein sterben, der bei ihr geschlafen hat,
But you shall do nothing to the young woman; she has committed no offense punishable by death. For this case is like that of a man attacking and murdering his neighbor,
und der Dirne sollst du nichts tun; denn sie hat keine Sünde des Todes wert getan, sondern gleich wie jemand sich wider seinen Nächsten erhöbe und schlüge ihn tot, so ist dies auch.
because he met her in the open country, and though the betrothed young woman cried for help there was no one to rescue her.
Denn er fand sie auf dem Felde, und die verlobte Dirne schrie, und war niemand, der ihr half.
“If a man meets a virgin who is not betrothed, and seizes her and lies with her, and they are found,
Wenn jemand an eine Jungfrau kommt, die nicht verlobt ist, und ergreift sie und schläft bei ihr, und es findet sich also,
then the man who lay with her shall give to the father of the young woman fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he has violated her. He may not divorce her all his days.
so soll, der bei ihr geschlafen hat, ihrem Vater 50 Silberlinge geben und soll sie zum Weibe haben, darum daß er sie geschwächt hat; er kann sie nicht lassen sein Leben lang.
