Joseph Reveals his Identity
Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.

Josef vermochte nicht mehr an sich zu halten vor allen, die um ihn standen, und rief: Schafft mir alle Leute hinaus! So stand niemand bei ihm, als er sich seinen Brüdern zu erkennen gab.
And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.
Er begann so laut zu weinen, dass es die Ägypter hörten; auch am Hof des Pharao hörte man davon.
And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.
Josef sagte zu seinen Brüdern: Ich bin Josef. Ist mein Vater noch am Leben? Seine Brüder waren nicht fähig, ihm zu antworten, weil sie fassungslos vor ihm standen.
And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
Josef sagte zu seinen Brüdern: Kommt doch näher zu mir her! Als sie näher herangetreten waren, sagte er: Ich bin Josef, euer Bruder, den ihr nach Ägypten verkauft habt.
Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.
Jetzt aber schmerze es euch nicht und es brenne nicht in euren Augen, weil ihr mich hierher verkauft habt. Denn um Leben zu erhalten, hat mich Gott vor euch hergeschickt.
For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest.
Ja, zwei Jahre sind es jetzt schon, dass der Hunger im Land herrscht. Und noch fünf Jahre stehen bevor, in denen man weder pflügen noch ernten wird.
And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
Gott aber hat mich vor euch hergeschickt, um euch im Land einen Rest zu erhalten und euch für eine große Rettungstat am Leben zu lassen.
So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
Also nicht ihr habt mich hierhergeschickt, sondern Gott. Er hat mich zum Vater für den Pharao gemacht, zum Herrn für sein ganzes Haus und zum Herrscher über das ganze Land Ägypten.
Joseph Sends for his Father
Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not:

Zieht eiligst zu meinem Vater hinauf und meldet ihm: So hat dein Sohn Josef gesagt: Gott hat mich zum Herrn über ganz Ägypten gemacht. Komm herunter zu mir, zögere nicht!
And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children's children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast:
Du kannst dich im Gebiet von Goschen niederlassen und wirst in meiner Nähe sein, du mit deinen Söhnen und deinen Kindeskindern, mit deinen Schafen und Ziegen und deinen Rindern und mit allem, was dir gehört.
And there will I nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.
Dort werde ich für dich sorgen, damit du nicht verarmst, du und dein Haus mit allem, was dir gehört, denn noch fünf Jahre dauert die Hungersnot.
And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaketh unto you.
Siehe, eure Augen und die Augen meines Bruders sehen, dass mein Mund mit euch redet.
And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither.
Erzählt meinem Vater von meinem hohen Rang in Ägypten und von allem, was ihr gesehen habt! Beeilt euch und bringt mei- nen Vater hierher herab!
And he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck.
Er fiel seinem Bruder Benjamin um den Hals und weinte; auch Benjamin weinte an seinem Hals.
Moreover he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them: and after that his brethren talked with him.
Josef küsste dann weinend alle seine Brüder. Darauf sprachen seine Brüder mit ihm.
Pharaoh Invites Jacob to Egypt
And the fame thereof was heard in Pharaoh's house, saying, Joseph's brethren are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants.

Am Hof des Pharao verbreitete sich die Nachricht: Die Brüder Josefs sind gekommen. Und das war gut in den Augen des Pharao und seiner Diener.
And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Say unto thy brethren, This do ye; lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan;
Der Pharao sagte zu Josef: Sag zu deinen Brüdern: So sollt ihr es machen: Beladet eure Tiere und reist ins Land Kanaan zurück!
And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land.
Holt euren Vater und eure Familien und kommt zu mir! Ich will euch das Beste vom Land Ägypten geben; von den besten Erzeugnissen des Landes dürft ihr essen.
Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come.
Du hast den Auftrag erhalten. Das tut: Nehmt euch aus dem Land Ägypten Wagen mit für eure Kinder und Frauen, lasst euren Vater aufsteigen und kommt!
Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours.
Es soll euch nicht leid sein um euren Hausrat. Denn das Beste aus dem ganzen Land Ägypten soll euch gehören.
And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way.
Die Söhne Israels machten es so. Josef stellte nach der Weisung des Pharao Wagen zur Verfügung und gab ihnen Verpflegung mit auf die Reise.
To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment.
Allen schenkte er Festgewänder, Benjamin aber schenkte er dreihundert Silberstücke und fünf Festgewänder,
And to his father he sent after this manner; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way.
seinem Vater schickte er entsprechend: zehn Esel, beladen mit dem Besten Ägyptens, und zehn Eselinnen, beladen mit Getreide und Brot, sowie Reiseverpflegung für seinen Vater.
So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.
Dann entließ er seine Brüder. Als sie sich auf den Weg machten, sagte er noch zu ihnen: Streitet nicht unterwegs!
The Revival of Jacob
And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father,

Sie zogen also von Ägypten hinauf und kamen ins Land Kanaan zu ihrem Vater Jakob.
And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob's heart fainted, for he believed them not.
Sie berichteten ihm: Josef ist noch am Leben. Er ist sogar Herrscher über das ganze Land Ägypten. Jakobs Herz aber blieb unbewegt; denn er glaubte ihnen nicht.
And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived:
Als sie ihm aber alles erzählten, was Josef zu ihnen gesagt hatte, und als er die Wagen sah, die Josef geschickt hatte, um ihn zu holen, lebte der Geist Jakobs, ihres Vaters, wieder auf
