Bittgebet eines Gebeugten, wenn er verzagt und vor dem HERRN seine Sorge ausschüttet.
Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
HERR, höre mein Bittgebet! Mein Schreien dringe zu dir!
For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.
Verbirg dein Angesicht nicht vor mir! Wenn ich in Not bin, wende dein Ohr mir zu! Wenn ich dich rufe, eile und erhöre mich!
My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.
Denn meine Tage sind wie Rauch geschwunden, meine Glieder wie von Feuer verbrannt.
By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.
Versengt wie Gras und verdorrt ist mein Herz, sodass ich vergessen habe, mein Brot zu essen.
I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.
Vor lauter Stöhnen und Schreien bin ich nur noch Haut und Knochen.
I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.
Ich bin wie eine Dohle in der Wüste, wie eine Eule in öden Ruinen.
Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.

For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,

Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.
Denn Staub habe ich gegessen wie Brot, mit Tränen habe ich meinen Trank gemischt.
My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.
Auf mir lasten dein Zorn und dein Grimm, denn du hast mich hochgerissen und zu Boden geschleudert.
But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.
Meine Tage schwinden dahin wie Schatten, ich verdorre wie Gras.
Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.
Du aber, HERR, du thronst für immer und ewig und das Gedenken an dich dauert von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht.
For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof.
Du wirst dich erheben, dich über Zion erbarmen, denn es ist Zeit, ihm gnädig zu sein, die Stunde ist da.
So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.
An seinen Steinen hängt das Herz deiner Knechte, ob seiner Trümmer tragen sie Leid.
When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.
Dann fürchten die Völker den Namen des HERRN und alle Könige der Erde deine Herrlichkeit.
He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
Denn der HERR hat Zion dann wieder aufgebaut, er ist erschienen in seiner Herrlichkeit.
This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
Er hat sich dem Bittgebet der verlassenen Stadt zugewandt, ihre Bittgebete hat er nicht verschmäht.
For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;
Dies sei aufgeschrieben für das kommende Geschlecht, damit den HERRN lobe das Volk, das noch erschaffen wird.
To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;
Denn herabgeschaut hat der HERR aus heiliger Höhe, vom Himmel hat er auf die Erde geblickt,
To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;
um das Seufzen der Gefangenen zu hören, zu befreien, die dem Tod geweiht sind,
When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.
damit sie den Namen des HERRN auf dem Zion verkünden und sein Lob in Jerusalem,
He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.
wenn sich dort Völker versammeln, Königreiche, um den HERRN zu verehren.
I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.
Er hat meine Kraft auf dem Weg gebrochen, er hat meine Tage verkürzt.
Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
Darum sage ich: Mein Gott, raff mich nicht weg in der Mitte meines Lebens, deine Jahre überdauern Geschlecht um Geschlecht.
They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
Vorzeiten hast du der Erde Grund gelegt, die Himmel sind das Werk deiner Hände.
But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.
Sie werden vergehen, du aber bleibst; sie alle zerfallen wie ein Gewand; du wechselst sie wie ein Kleid und sie schwinden dahin.
