Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Preise den HERRN, meine Seele, und vergiss nicht, was er dir Gutes getan hat!
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Der dir all deine Schuld vergibt und all deine Gebrechen heilt,
Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
der dein Leben vor dem Untergang rettet und dich mit Huld und Erbarmen krönt,
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
der dich dein Leben lang mit Gaben sättigt, wie dem Adler wird dir die Jugend erneuert.
The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
Der HERR vollbringt Taten des Heils, Recht verschafft er allen Bedrängten.
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
Er hat Mose seine Wege kundgetan, den Kindern Israels seine Werke.
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
Der HERR ist barmherzig und gnädig, langmütig und reich an Huld.
He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
Er wird nicht immer rechten und nicht ewig trägt er nach.
He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Er handelt an uns nicht nach unsern Sünden und vergilt uns nicht nach unsrer Schuld.
For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
Denn so hoch der Himmel über der Erde ist, so mächtig ist seine Huld über denen, die ihn fürchten.
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
So weit der Aufgang entfernt ist vom Untergang, so weit entfernt er von uns unsere Frevel.
Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
Wie ein Vater sich seiner Kinder erbarmt, so erbarmt sich der HERR über alle, die ihn fürchten.
For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
Denn er weiß, was wir für Gebilde sind, er bedenkt, dass wir Staub sind.
As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
Wie Gras sind die Tage des Menschen, er blüht wie die Blume des Feldes.
For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
Fährt der Wind darüber, ist sie dahin; der Ort, wo sie stand, weiß nichts mehr von ihr.
But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
Doch die Huld des HERRN währt immer und ewig für alle, die ihn fürchten. Seine Gerechtigkeit erfahren noch Kinder und Enkel,
To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
alle, die seinen Bund bewahren, die seiner Befehle gedenken und danach handeln.
The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
Der HERR hat seinen Thron errichtet im Himmel, seine königliche Macht beherrscht das All.
Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
Preist den HERRN, ihr seine Engel, ihr starken Helden, die sein Wort vollstrecken, die auf die Stimme seines Wortes hören!
Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
Preist den HERRN, all seine Heerscharen, seine Diener, die seinen Willen tun!
