Ein Psalm, vorzusingen, Davids, des Knechtes des HERRN, welcher hat dem HERRN die Worte dieses Liedes geredet zur Zeit, da ihn der HERR errettet hatte von der Hand aller seiner Feinde und von der Hand Sauls,
The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
und sprach: Herzlich lieb habe ich dich, HERR, meine Stärke!
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
( HERR, mein Fels, meine Burg, mein Erretter, mein Gott, mein Hort, auf den ich traue, mein Schild und Horn meines Heils und mein Schutz!
The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.
(Ich rufe an den HERRN, den Hochgelobten, so werde ich von meinen Feinden erlöst.
The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
(Es umfingen mich des Todes Bande, und die Bäche des Verderbens erschreckten mich.
In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
(Der Hölle Bande umfingen mich, und des Todes Stricke überwältigten mich.
Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
(Da mir angst war, rief ich den HERRN an und schrie zu meinem Gott; da erhörte er meine Stimme von seinem Tempel, und mein Schreien kam vor ihn zu seinen Ohren.
There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
(Die Erde bebte und ward bewegt, und die Grundfesten der Berge regten sich und bebten, da er zornig war.
He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.
( Dampf ging auf von seiner Nase und verzehrend Feuer von seinem Munde, daß es davon blitzte.
And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.
Er neigte den Himmel und fuhr herab, und Dunkel war unter seinen Füßen.
He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
Und er fuhr auf dem Cherub und flog daher; er schwebte auf den Fittichen des Windes.
At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.
Sein Gezelt um ihn her war finster und schwarze, dicke Wolken, darin er verborgen war.
The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.
Vom Glanz vor ihm trennten sich die Wolken mit Hagel und Blitzen.
Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.
Und der HERR donnerte im Himmel, und der Höchste ließ seinen Donner aus mit Hagel und Blitzen.
Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
Er schoß seine Strahlen und zerstreute sie; er ließ sehr blitzen und schreckte sie.
He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.
Da sah man das Bett der Wasser, und des Erdbodens Grund ward aufgedeckt, HERR, von deinem Schelten, von dem Odem und Schnauben deiner Nase.
He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.
Er streckte seine Hand aus von der Höhe und holte mich und zog mich aus großen Wassern.
They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.
Er errettete mich von meinen starken Feinden, von meinen Hassern, die mir zu mächtig waren,
He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
die mich überwältigten zur Zeit meines Unglücks; und der HERR ward meine Zuversicht.
The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
Und er führte mich aus ins Weite. Er riß mich heraus; denn er hatte Lust zu mir.
For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
Der HERR tut wohl an mir nach meiner Gerechtigkeit; er vergilt mir nach der Reinigkeit meiner Hände.
For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.
Denn ich halte die Wege des HERRN und bin nicht gottlos wider meinen Gott.
I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
Denn alle seine Rechte habe ich vor Augen, und seine Gebote werfe ich nicht von mir;
Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
sondern ich bin ohne Tadel vor ihm und hüte mich vor Sünden.
With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;
Darum vergilt mir der HERR nach meiner Gerechtigkeit, nach der Reinigkeit meiner Hände vor seinen Augen.
With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.
Bei den Heiligen bist du heilig, und bei den Frommen bist du fromm,
For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.
und bei den Reinen bist du rein, und bei den Verkehrten bist du verkehrt.
For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
Denn du hilfst dem elenden Volk, und die hohen Augen erniedrigst du.
For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
Denn du erleuchtest meine Leuchte; der HERR, mein Gott, macht meine Finsternis licht.
As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
Denn mit dir kann ich Kriegsvolk zerschlagen und mit meinem Gott über die Mauer springen.
For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?
Gottes Wege sind vollkommen; die Reden des HERRN sind durchläutert. Er ist ein Schild allen, die ihm vertrauen.
It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
Denn wo ist ein Gott außer dem HERRN, oder ein Hort außer unserm Gott?
He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places.
Gott rüstet mich mit Kraft und macht meine Wege ohne Tadel.
He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
Er macht meine Füße gleich den Hirschen und stellt mich auf meine Höhen.
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Er lehrt meine Hand streiten und lehrt meinen Arm einen ehernen Bogen spannen.
Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.
Du gibst mir den Schild deines Heils, und deine Rechte stärkt mich; und wenn du mich demütigst, machst du mich groß.
I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.
Du machst unter mir Raum zu gehen, daß meine Knöchel nicht wanken.
I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.
Ich will meinen Feinden nachjagen und sie ergreifen, und nicht umkehren, bis ich sie umgebracht habe.
For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
Ich will sie zerschmettern; sie sollen mir nicht widerstehen und müssen unter meine Füße fallen.
Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.
Du kannst mich rüsten mit Stärke zum Streit; du kannst unter mich werfen, die sich wider mich setzen.
They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.
Du gibst mir meine Feinde in die Flucht, daß ich meine Hasser verstöre.
Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.
Sie rufen, aber da ist kein Helfer; zum HERRN, aber er antwortet ihnen nicht.
Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.
Ich will sie zerstoßen wie Staub vor dem Winde; ich will sie wegräumen wie den Kot auf der Gasse.
As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.
Du hilfst mir von dem zänkischen Volk und machst mich zum Haupt unter den Heiden; ein Volk, das ich nicht kannte, dient mir;
The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.
es gehorcht mir mit gehorsamen Ohren. Ja, den Kindern der Fremde hat’s wider mich gefehlt;
The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
die Kinder der Fremde verschmachten und kommen mit Zittern aus ihren Burgen.
It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.
Der HERR lebt, und gelobt sei mein Hort; und erhoben werde der Gott meines Heils,
He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
der Gott, der mir Rache gibt und zwingt die Völker unter mich;
Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
der mich errettet von meinen Feinden und erhöht mich aus denen, die sich wider mich setzen; du hilfst mir von den Frevlern.
