To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Gott, mein Gott bist du, dich suche ich, es dürstet nach dir meine Seele. Nach dir schmachtet mein Fleisch wie dürres, lechzendes Land ohne Wasser.
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
Darum halte ich Ausschau nach dir im Heiligtum, zu sehen deine Macht und Herrlichkeit.
Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
Denn deine Huld ist besser als das Leben. Meine Lippen werden dich rühmen.
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
So preise ich dich in meinem Leben, in deinem Namen erhebe ich meine Hände.
When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
Wie an Fett und Mark wird satt meine Seele, mein Mund lobt dich mit jubelnden Lippen.
Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
