I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
Rette mich, Gott, denn das Wasser geht mir bis an die Kehle!
I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.
Ich bin versunken im Schlamm des Abgrunds und habe keinen Halt mehr. In Wassertiefen bin ich geraten, die Flut reißt mich fort.
They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.
Ich bin erschöpft von meinem Rufen, es brennt meine Kehle. Mir versagen die Augen, während ich warte auf meinen Gott.
O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.
Zahlreicher als auf meinem Kopf die Haare sind die, die mich grundlos hassen. Mächtig sind, die mich verderben, meine verlogenen Feinde. Was ich nicht geraubt, das soll ich erstatten.
Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.
Du, Gott, kennst meine Torheit, meine Verfehlungen sind dir nicht verborgen.
Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.
Nicht sollen zuschanden werden durch mich, die auf dich hoffen, Herr, GOTT der Heerscharen, nicht sollen durch mich beschämt werden, die dich suchen, du Gott Israels.
I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.
Denn deinetwegen erleide ich Hohn und Schande bedeckt mein Angesicht.
For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
Entfremdet bin ich meinen Brüdern, den Söhnen meiner Mutter wurde ich fremd.
When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.
Denn der Eifer für dein Haus hat mich verzehrt, die Verhöhnungen derer, die dich verhöhnen, sind auf mich gefallen.
I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.
Ich habe geweint und gefastet, es brachte mir nur Verhöhnung.
They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.
Ich legte als Gewand ein Bußkleid an, ich wurde ihnen zum Spottvers.
But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
Es reden über mich, die am Stadttor sitzen, Spottlieder singen die Zecher beim Wein.
Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.
Ich aber komme zu dir mit meinem Bittgebet, HERR, zur Zeit der Gnade. Gott, in deiner großen Huld erhöre mich, mit deiner rettenden Treue!
Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.
Entreiß mich dem Sumpf, damit ich nicht versinke, damit ich meinen Hassern entkomme, den Tiefen des Wassers,
Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.
damit die Wasserflut mich nicht fortreißt, mich nicht verschlingt der Abgrund, der Brunnenschacht nicht über mir seinen Rachen schließt!
And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.
Erhöre mich, HERR, denn gut ist deine Huld, wende dich mir zu in deinem großen Erbarmen!
Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.
Verbirg dein Angesicht nicht vor deinem Knecht, denn mir ist angst, eile, erhöre mich!
Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.
Sei mir nah und erlöse mich! Befreie mich meinen Feinden zum Trotz!
Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
Du, ja du kennst meine Verhöhnung, alle meine Widersacher sind dir vor Augen.
They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
Die Verhöhnung bricht mir das Herz, ich bin krank vor Schmach und Schande. Ich hoffte auf Mitleid, doch vergebens, auf Tröster, doch fand ich keinen.
Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.
Sie gaben mir Gift als Speise, für den Durst gaben sie mir Essig zu trinken.
Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.
Der Opfertisch werde für sie zur Falle, für die Tischgenossen zum Fangnetz.
Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.
Ihre Augen sollen dunkel werden, dass sie nicht mehr sehen, ihre Hüften lass wanken für immer!
Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.
Gieß über sie deinen Grimm aus, dein glühender Zorn soll sie treffen!
For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.
Ihr Lagerplatz soll veröden, in ihren Zelten soll niemand mehr wohnen.
Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.
Denn sie verfolgen, den du geschlagen hast, sie reden vom Schmerz deiner Durchbohrten.
Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
Rechne ihnen Schuld über Schuld an, damit sie nicht eingehen in dein Heil!
But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.
Sie seien aus dem Buch des Lebens getilgt und nicht bei den Gerechten verzeichnet.
I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
Ich aber bin elend und voller Schmerzen, doch deine Hilfe, Gott, wird mich erhöhen.
This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
Ich will im Lied den Namen Gottes loben, ich will ihn mit Dank erheben.
The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.
Das gefällt dem HERRN mehr als ein Opferstier, mehr als ein Rind mit Hörnern und Klauen.
For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.
Die Gebeugten haben es gesehen und sie freuen sich! Ihr, die ihr Gott sucht, euer Herz lebe auf!
Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.
Denn der HERR hört auf die Armen, seine Gefangenen verachtet er nicht.
For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession.
Himmel und Erde sollen ihn loben, die Meere und alles, was sich in ihnen regt.
