Judgment against Pharaoh
In the tenth year, in the tenth month, in the twelfth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Am zwölften Tag des zehnten Monats im zehnten Jahr erging das Wort des HERRN an mich:
Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt:
Menschensohn, richte dein Gesicht auf den Pharao, den König von Ägypten, tritt als Prophet auf gegen ihn und gegen ganz Ägypten,
Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.
sage und sprich: So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Siehe, ich gehe gegen dich vor, Pharao, König von Ägypten, du großes Ungeheuer, das zwischen den Armen seines Nil liegt, das sagt: Mir gehört mein Nil, ich habe mich selber gemacht.
But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales.
Aber ich schlage dir Haken durch die Kinnbacken und lasse die Fische deiner Nilarme an deinen Schuppen kleben. Ich ziehe dich herauf aus den Armen deines Nil samt all den Fischen deiner Nilarme, die an deinen Schuppen kleben.
And I will leave thee thrown into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open fields; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given thee for meat to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven.
Dann werfe ich dich in die Wüste hinaus, dich und all die Fische deiner Nilarme. Aufs trockene Land wirst du fallen. Du wirst nicht aufgelesen und nicht eingesammelt werden. Den wilden Tieren und den Vögeln des Himmels werfe ich dich vor zum Fraß.
And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know that I am the LORD, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.
Dann werden alle Bewohner Ägyptens erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin. Weil sie eine Stütze aus Schilfrohr für das Haus Israel gewesen sind,
When they took hold of thee by thy hand, thou didst break, and rend all their shoulder: and when they leaned upon thee, thou brakest, and madest all their loins to be at a stand.
— nehmen sie dich in die Hand, dann zerbrichst du und durchbohrst ihnen die ganze Schulter; stützen sie sich auf dich, dann zerbrichst du und machst allen die Hüften steif — ,
The Desolation of Egypt
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast out of thee.

darum — so spricht GOTT, der Herr: Siehe, ich bringe das Schwert über dich und rotte Mensch und Vieh aus dir aus.
And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I am the LORD: because he hath said, The river is mine, and I have made it.
Das Land Ägypten wird zu Wüste und Ödland. Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin. Weil er gesagt hat: Mir gehört der Nil; ich habe ihn selber gemacht.
Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even unto the border of Ethiopia.
Darum, siehe, ich gehe gegen dich und deine Nilarme vor. Ich mache das Land Ägypten zum dürren Ödland, zur Wüste von Migdol bis Syene und bis an die Grenze von Kusch.
No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of beast shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years.
Weder eines Menschen Fuß noch eines Tieres Fuß geht mehr darüber hin. Vierzig Jahre lang wird es nicht mehr bewohnt sein.
And I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be desolate forty years: and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
Ich mache das Land Ägypten zur Wüste inmitten verwüsteter Länder. Seine Städte sollen vierzig Jahre lang verwüstet daliegen inmitten verödeter Städte. Ich zerstreue die Ägypter unter die Nationen und vertreibe sie in die Länder.
Yet thus saith the Lord GOD; At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the people whither they were scattered:
Denn so spricht GOTT, der Herr: Nach vierzig Jahren führe ich die Ägypter aus den Völkern zusammen, unter die sie zerstreut wurden.
And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their habitation; and they shall be there a base kingdom.
Ich wende das Geschick Ägyptens und bringe sie zurück in das Land Patros, das Land ihrer Herkunft. Dort werden sie ein geringes Reich gründen.
It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations: for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations.
Es wird geringer sein als die Königreiche und es wird sich nicht mehr über die Nationen erheben. Ich mache es ganz klein, damit es nicht mehr über die Nationen herrschen kann.
And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, which bringeth their iniquity to remembrance, when they shall look after them: but they shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
Es wird dem Haus Israel keinen Anlass mehr zum Vertrauen geben. Es riefe Israels Schuld in Erinnerung, wenn es sich ihm anschlösse. Sie werden erkennen, dass ich GOTT, der Herr, bin.
Egypt the Reward of Nebuchadnezzar
And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Es geschah im siebenundzwanzigsten Jahr, im ersten Monat, am Ersten des Monats, da erging das Wort des HERRN an mich:
Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served against it:
Menschensohn! Nebukadnezzar, der König von Babel, hat sein Heer gegen Tyrus schwere Arbeit verrichten lassen; jeder Kopf wurde kahl und jede Schulter war zerschunden. Aber Tyrus hat ihn und sein Heer nicht belohnt für die Arbeit, die sie geleistet haben.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army.
Darum — so spricht GOTT, der Herr: Siehe, ich gebe Nebukadnezzar, dem König von Babel, das Land Ägypten. Er wird seine Schätze wegschleppen; er wird alles plündern und reiche Beute machen. Das wird der Lohn seines Heeres sein.
I have given him the land of Egypt for his labour wherewith he served against it, because they wrought for me, saith the Lord GOD.
Als Belohnung für seine Arbeit gebe ich ihm das Land Ägypten; denn sie haben für mich gearbeitet — Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn.
In that day will I cause the horn of the house of Israel to bud forth, and I will give thee the opening of the mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
An jenem Tag werde ich dem Haus Israel ein Horn sprießen lassen und ich öffne dir den Mund in ihrer Mitte. Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
