Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.

Wehe denen, die nachts wachliegen und finstere Pläne schmieden! Gleich am frühen Morgen setzen sie alles in die Tat um, weil sie die Macht dazu haben.
And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.
Wenn ihnen ein Stück Land gefällt, dann reißen sie es an sich; sehen sie ein schönes Haus, dann gehört es schon bald ihnen. Mit Gewalt rauben sie ganzen Familien Haus und Erbe.
Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil.
Darum kündigt der HERR ihnen an: »Nun werde ich finstere Pläne gegen eure ganze Sippschaft schmieden. Ihr könnt euren Hals nicht mehr aus der Schlinge ziehen, nie mehr werdet ihr euren Kopf so hoch tragen! Euch erwarten schlimme Zeiten!
In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields.
Es kommt der Tag, da wird man ein Spottlied auf euch anstimmen und dabei euer Klagen nachäffen: ›Wir sind vernichtet, Gott gab den Feinden unser Land. Alles haben sie genommen und unsere Felder unter sich verteilt!‹
Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the LORD.
Wenn die Israeliten das Land später wieder zurückbekommen, geht ihr leer aus. Niemand aus dem Volk des HERRN wird euch auch nur ein Stück zuteilen!«

»Schluss mit dem Gerede!«, empören sich die falschen Propheten. »Keiner darf so daherschwätzen! Nein, niemals wird eine solche Schande über uns kommen.
O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?
Spricht man etwa so zu uns Nachkommen von Jakob? Kann der HERR wirklich seine Geduld mit uns verlieren? So kennen wir ihn gar nicht!« Doch Gott antwortet: »Meine Worte verheißen nur Gutes für den, der so lebt, wie es mir gefällt!

Aber mein Volk lehnt sich schon lange gegen mich auf. Wenn jemand nichts ahnend an euch vorbeikommt, plündert ihr ihn aus. Ja, ihr fallt über die her, die sich in Sicherheit wiegen, und nehmt ihnen sogar noch den Mantel weg!
The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever.
Die Frauen vertreibt ihr aus ihrem geliebten Zuhause, und die Kinder beraubt ihr für immer ihrer Heimat in Israel, die ich ihnen gegeben habe.
Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.
Fort mit euch! Weg von hier! Ihr werdet in diesem Land sowieso keine Ruhe mehr finden. Denn ihr habt es mit euren Sünden besudelt — nun ist es dem Untergang geweiht.
If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.
Ich weiß sehr wohl, was für Propheten ihr euch wünscht: solche, die euch nach dem Mund reden, die das Blaue vom Himmel herunterlügen und euch ankündigen, Wein und Most würden in Strömen fließen!«
The Remnant of Israel
I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

»Ich, der Herr, verspreche euch: Ich hole euch Nachkommen von Jakob, die ihr den Untergang Israels überlebt habt, wieder zurück. Wie ein Hirte seine Schafe in den schützenden Stall bringt, so versammle ich euch alle wieder in eurem Land. Dann wird es dort von Menschen wimmeln!

Ein Befreier geht euch voran, um euch den Weg aus der Gefangenschaft zu bahnen. Die Stadttore werdet ihr durchbrechen und in die Freiheit ziehen. Ich selbst, der HERR, gehe als euer König an der Spitze.«
