And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Warum siehst du den Splitter im Auge deines Bruders, aber den Balken in deinem Auge bemerkst du nicht?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Oder wie kannst du zu deinem Bruder sagen: Lass mich den Splitter aus deinem Auge herausziehen! — und siehe, in deinem Auge steckt ein Balken!
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
Du Heuchler! Zieh zuerst den Balken aus deinem Auge, dann kannst du zusehen, den Splitter aus dem Auge deines Bruders herauszuziehen!
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
Gebt das Heilige nicht den Hunden und werft eure Perlen nicht den Schweinen vor, denn sie könnten sie mit ihren Füßen zertreten und sich umwenden und euch zerreißen!
Ask, Seek, Knock
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Denn wer bittet, der empfängt; wer sucht, der findet; und wer anklopft, dem wird geöffnet.
Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
Oder ist einer unter euch, der seinem Sohn einen Stein gibt, wenn er um Brot bittet,
Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
oder eine Schlange, wenn er um einen Fisch bittet?
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Wenn nun ihr, die ihr böse seid, euren Kindern gute Gaben zu geben wisst, wie viel mehr wird euer Vater im Himmel denen Gutes geben, die ihn bitten.
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Alles, was ihr wollt, dass euch die Menschen tun, das tut auch ihnen! Darin besteht das Gesetz und die Propheten.
The Narrow Gate
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Geht durch das enge Tor! Denn weit ist das Tor und breit der Weg, der ins Verderben führt, und es sind viele, die auf ihm gehen.
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Wie eng ist das Tor und wie schmal der Weg, der zum Leben führt, und es sind wenige, die ihn finden.
A Tree and its Fruit
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Hütet euch vor den falschen Propheten; sie kommen zu euch in Schafskleidern, im Inneren aber sind sie reißende Wölfe.
Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
An ihren Früchten werdet ihr sie erkennen. Erntet man etwa von Dornen Trauben oder von Disteln Feigen?
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Jeder gute Baum bringt gute Früchte hervor, ein schlechter Baum aber schlechte.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Ein guter Baum kann keine schlechten Früchte hervorbringen und ein schlechter Baum keine guten.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Jeder Baum, der keine guten Früchte hervorbringt, wird umgehauen und ins Feuer geworfen.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Dann werde ich ihnen antworten: Ich kenne euch nicht. Weg von mir, ihr Gesetzlosen!
The House on the Rock
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Jeder, der diese meine Worte hört und danach handelt, ist wie ein kluger Mann, der sein Haus auf Fels baute.
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Als ein Wolkenbruch kam und die Wassermassen heranfluteten, als die Stürme tobten und an dem Haus rüttelten, da stürzte es nicht ein; denn es war auf Fels gebaut.
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Und jeder, der diese meine Worte hört und nicht danach handelt, ist ein Tor, der sein Haus auf Sand baute.
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Als ein Wolkenbruch kam und die Wassermassen heranfluteten, als die Stürme tobten und an dem Haus rüttelten, da stürzte es ein und wurde völlig zerstört.
