Zum Schluss will ich noch etwas zur Geldsammlung für die Christen in Jerusalem sagen. Führt sie so durch, wie ich es auch für die Gemeinden in Galatien angeordnet habe.
Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
An jedem Sonntag soll jeder von euch dafür so viel Geld zurücklegen, wie es ihm möglich ist. Dann braucht ihr mit dem Sammeln nicht erst anzufangen, wenn ich komme.
And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.
Gleich nach meiner Ankunft sollen dann Männer aus eurer Gemeinde, die ihr für zuverlässig erachtet, das Geld nach Jerusalem bringen. Ich werde ihnen Empfehlungsschreiben für unterwegs mitgeben.

Sollte es nötig sein, werde ich selbst mit ihnen reisen.

aber bei euch möchte ich eine Zeit lang bleiben, vielleicht sogar den ganzen Winter über. Es wäre gut, wenn ihr mich dann für die Weiterreise versorgen könntet.

Wenn ich sehr bald zu euch käme, könnte ich euch nur auf der Durchreise besuchen. Aber das will ich nicht. Wenn der Herr es zulässt, hoffe ich, einige Zeit bei euch verbringen zu können.

Noch eins, liebe Brüder und Schwestern: Ihr kennt doch Stephanas und alle, die bei ihm leben. Sie waren die ersten Christen in der Provinz Achaja und haben sich ganz für den Dienst in der Gemeinde zur Verfügung gestellt.
That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.
Hört auf solche Leute und auf alle anderen, die mitarbeiten und ihr Bestes geben.
I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.
Ich freue mich, dass Stephanas, Fortunatus und Achaikus zu mir gekommen sind. Sie haben mir darüber hinweggeholfen, dass ich nicht bei euch sein konnte.
