Series of Kings: Azariah (Uzziah) over Judah
In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah became king.

Asarja, Amazjas Sohn, wurde König von Juda im 27. Regierungsjahr König Jerobeams von Israel.
He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem; and his mother’s name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.
Er regierte 52 Jahre in Jerusalem. Asarja war 16 Jahre alt, als er König wurde. Seine Mutter hieß Jecholja und stammte aus Jerusalem.
He did right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done.
Wie sein Vater Amazja tat auch er, was dem HERRN gefiel.
Only the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.

Zechariah over Israel
In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam became king over Israel in Samaria for six months.

Then Menahem struck Tiphsah and all who were in it and its borders from Tirzah, because they did not open to him; therefore he struck it and ripped up all its women who were with child.

He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.
Sein Leben lang tat er, was dem HERRN missfiel. Er behielt den Götzendienst bei, zu dem Jerobeam, der Sohn von Nebat, die Israeliten verführt hatte.
Pul, king of Assyria, came against the land, and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver so that his hand might be with him to strengthen the kingdom under his rule.
Während seiner Regierungszeit rückte der assyrische König Tiglat-Pileser mit seinem Heer gegen Israel an. Menahem gab ihm 35 Tonnen Silber. Pekahiah over Israel
In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem became king over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.
Pekachja, Menahems Sohn, wurde König von Israel im 50. Regierungsjahr König Asarjas von Juda. Er regierte zwei Jahre in Samaria.
He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.
Pekachja tat, was dem HERRN missfiel, und behielt den Götzendienst bei, zu dem Jerobeam, der Sohn von Nebat, die Israeliten verführt hatte.
Then Pekah son of Remaliah, his officer, conspired against him and struck him in Samaria, in the castle of the king’s house with Argob and Arieh; and with him were fifty men of the Gileadites, and he killed him and became king in his place.
Pekach, der Sohn von Remalja, einer der höchsten Offiziere Pekachjas, verschwor sich mit fünfzig Männern aus Gilead gegen ihn und erschlug ihn im Königspalast. Bei dem Umsturz kamen auch Argob und Arje ums Leben. Pekach wurde der Nachfolger des ermordeten Königs.

Pekah over Israel
In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah became king over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.
Pekach, Remaljas Sohn, wurde König von Israel im 52. Regierungsjahr König Asarjas von Juda. Er regierte 20 Jahre in Samaria.
He did evil in the sight of the LORD; he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he made Israel sin.
Pekach tat, was dem HERRN missfiel, und hielt am Götzendienst fest, zu dem Jerobeam, der Sohn von Nebat, die Israeliten verführt hatte.
In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came and captured Ijon and Abel-beth-maacah and Janoah and Kedesh and Hazor and Gilead and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali; and he carried them captive to Assyria.
Während Pekachs Regierungszeit griff der assyrische König Tiglat-Pileser Israel an. Er eroberte die Städte Ijon, Abel-Bet-Maacha, Janoach, Kedesch und Hazor und nahm die Gebiete von Gilead und Galiläa ein sowie das ganze Stammesgebiet von Naftali. And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and struck him and put him to death and became king in his place, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.
Daraufhin zettelte Hoschea, der Sohn von Ela, eine Verschwörung gegen Pekach an und brachte ihn um. Dann wurde er an seiner Stelle König. Dies geschah zwanzig Jahre nachdem Jotam, der Sohn von Asarja, in Juda die Herrschaft übernommen hatte.

Jotham over Judah
In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel, Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah became king.
Jotam, Asarjas Sohn, wurde König von Juda im 2. Regierungsjahr König Pekachs von Israel.
He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem; and his mother’s name was Jerusha the daughter of Zadok.
Er regierte 16 Jahre in Jerusalem. Seine Mutter hieß Jeruscha und war eine Tochter von Zadok. Jotam war 25 Jahre alt, als er König wurde.
He did what was right in the sight of the LORD; he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.
Er tat, was dem HERRN gefiel, und folgte dem Beispiel seines Vaters Asarja.
Only the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places. He built the upper gate of the house of the LORD.
Doch leider blieben die Götzenopferstätten selbst unter seiner Herrschaft bestehen; das Volk brachte dort weiterhin seine Opfer dar. Jotam war es auch, der das obere Tor des Tempels baute.

In those days the LORD began to send Rezin king of Aram and Pekah the son of Remaliah against Judah.
Während Jotams Regierungszeit erklärten Rezin, der König von Syrien, und Pekach, der Sohn von Remalja, Juda den Krieg. Der HERR hatte sie dazu gebracht.
And Jotham slept with his fathers, and he was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father; and Ahaz his son became king in his place.
Als Jotam starb, wurde er in der »Stadt Davids«, einem Stadtteil von Jerusalem, im Grab der Königsfamilie beigesetzt. Sein Sohn Ahas wurde zum Nachfolger bestimmt.
