Hoffnung für Alle
Während Pekachs Regierungszeit griff der assyrische König Tiglat-Pileser Israel an. Er eroberte die Städte Ijon, Abel-Bet-Maacha, Janoach, Kedesch und Hazor und nahm die Gebiete von Gilead und Galiläa ein sowie das ganze Stammesgebiet von Naftali. Die Bewohner der eroberten Gebiete verschleppte er nach Assyrien.

Zu den Zeiten Pekahs, des Königs Israels, kam Thiglath–Pileser, der König von Assyrien, und nahm Ijon, Abel–Beth–Maacha, Janoah, Kedes, Hazor, Gilead und Galiläa, das ganze Land Naphthali, und führte sie weg nach Assyrien.

In den Tagen Pekachs, des Königs von Israel, zog Tiglat-Pileser, der König von Assur, heran. Er eroberte Ijon, Abel-Bet-Maacha, Janoach, Kedesch, Hazor, Gilead, Galiläa, das ganze Land Naftali und verschleppte ihre Bewohner nach Assur.
