The Ark Is Brought into the Temple
Thus all the work that Solomon performed for the house of the LORD was finished. And Solomon brought in the things that David his father had dedicated, even the silver and the gold and all the utensils, and put them in the treasuries of the house of God.

Also ward alle Arbeit vollbracht, die Salomo tat am Hause des HERRN. Und Salomo brachte hinein alles, was sein Vater David geheiligt hatte, nämlich Silber und Gold und allerlei Geräte, und legte es in den Schatz im Hause Gottes.
Then Solomon assembled to Jerusalem the elders of Israel and all the heads of the tribes, the leaders of the fathers’ households of the sons of Israel, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.
Da versammelte Salomo alle Ältesten in Israel, alle Hauptleute der Stämme, Fürsten der Vaterhäuser unter den Kindern Israel gen Jerusalem, daß sie die Lade des Bundes des HERRN hinaufbrächten aus der Stadt Davids, das ist Zion.

And King Solomon and all the congregation of Israel who were assembled with him before the ark, were sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they could not be counted or numbered.
Aber der König Salomo und die ganze Gemeinde Israel, zu ihm versammelt vor der Lade, opferten Schafe und Ochsen, so viel, daß es niemand zählen noch rechnen konnte.
Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, to the holy of holies, under the wings of the cherubim.
Also brachten die Priester die Lade des Bundes des HERRN an ihre Stätte, in den Chor des Hauses, in das Allerheiligste, unter die Flügel der Cherubim,
For the cherubim spread their wings over the place of the ark, so that the cherubim made a covering over the ark and its poles.
daß die Cherubim ihre Flügel ausbreiteten über die Stätte der Lade; und die Cherubim bedeckten die Lade und ihre Stangen von obenher.
The poles were so long that the ends of the poles of the ark could be seen in front of the inner sanctuary, but they could not be seen outside; and they are there to this day.
Die Stangen aber waren so lang, daß man ihre Knäufe sah von der Lade her vor dem Chor; aber außen sah man sie nicht. Und sie war daselbst bis auf diesen Tag.

The Glory of God Fills the Temple
When the priests came forth from the holy place (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, without regard to divisions),
Und die Priester gingen heraus aus dem Heiligen; denn alle Priester, die vorhanden waren, hatten sich geheiligt, also daß auch die Ordnungen nicht gehalten wurden;
and all the Levitical singers, Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and kinsmen, clothed in fine linen, with cymbals, harps and lyres, standing east of the altar, and with them one hundred and twenty priests blowing trumpets
und die Leviten, die Sänger alle, Asaph, Heman und Jedithun und ihre Kinder und Brüder, angezogen mit feiner Leinwand, standen gegen Morgen des Altars mit Zimbeln, Psaltern und Harfen, und bei ihnen 120 Priester, die mit Drommeten bliesen;
in unison when the trumpeters and the singers were to make themselves heard with one voice to praise and to glorify the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice accompanied by trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and when they praised the LORD saying, “He indeed is good for His lovingkindness is everlasting,” then the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud,
und es war, als wäre es einer, der drommetete und sänge, als hörte man eine Stimme loben und danken dem HERRN. Und da die Stimme sich erhob von den Drommeten, Zimbeln und Saitenspielen und von dem Loben des HERRN, daß er gütig ist und seine Barmherzigkeit ewig währet, da ward das Haus des HERRN erfüllt mit einer Wolke,
