Wie schön war es damals, als uns noch tiefe Freundschaft verband! Einmütig gingen wir in Gottes Haus, gemeinsam mit den anderen Pilgern.

Ohne Vorwarnung hole der Tod meine Feinde! Mitten aus dem Leben sollen sie gerissen werden, denn die Bosheit herrscht in ihren Herzen und Häusern.

Doch ich schreie zu Gott, und der HERR wird mir helfen.

Gott, der seit Ewigkeiten herrscht, wird mich erhören. Er bleibt ihnen die Antwort nicht schuldig. Denn vor ihm haben sie keine Ehrfurcht, und ändern wollen sie sich auch nicht.

Ach, mein ehemaliger Freund hat alle verraten, die ihm nahestanden, und hat seine Versprechen gebrochen!
