In dem Jahr, in dem der Oberbefehlshaber nach Aschdod kam, als Sargon, der König von Assur, ihn sandte, kämpfte er gegen Aschdod und nahm es ein.
at that time the LORD spoke through Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, “Go and loosen the sackcloth from your hips and take your shoes off your feet.” And he did so, going naked and barefoot.
In jener Zeit hatte der HERR durch Jesaja, den Sohn des Amoz, gesprochen und gesagt: Geh, löse das Sacktuch von deinen Hüften und ziehe deine Sandalen von deinen Füßen aus! Er hatte so gehandelt. Er war nackt und barfuß umhergegangen.
And the LORD said, “Even as My servant Isaiah has gone naked and barefoot three years as a sign and token against Egypt and Cush,
Da sagte der HERR: Wie mein Knecht Jesaja drei Jahre lang nackt und barfuß umherging als Zeichen und Sinnbild gegen Ägypten und Kusch,
so the king of Assyria will lead away the captives of Egypt and the exiles of Cush, young and old, naked and barefoot with buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.
so wird der König von Assur die Gefangenen Ägyptens und die Verschleppten Kuschs wegtreiben, Junge und Alte, nackt, barfuß und mit entblößtem Gesäß, zur Schande Ägyptens.
“Then they will be dismayed and ashamed because of Cush their hope and Egypt their boast.
Dann werden sie erschrecken und schämen sich Kuschs, ihrer Zuversicht, und Ägyptens, ihrer Zierde.
“So the inhabitants of this coastland will say in that day, ‘Behold, such is our hope, where we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria; and we, how shall we escape?’”
Und wer diese Küste bewohnt, wird an jenem Tag sagen: Siehe, so steht es mit unserer Zuversicht, zu der wir flohen, um Hilfe zu finden und vor dem König von Assur gerettet zu werden. Wie sollten wir entkommen?
