The Mountains of Israel to Be Blessed
“And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say, ‘O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD.
“And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say, ‘O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD.
»Du Mensch, sprich zu den Bergen von Israel: Hört die Botschaft des HERRN!
‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Because the enemy has spoken against you, ‘Aha!’ and, ‘The everlasting heights have become our possession,’
Eure Feinde haben euch verspottet und gesagt: ›Haha, diese Berge, die es schon seit alter Zeit gibt, gehören jetzt uns!‹
therefore prophesy and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “For good reason they have made you desolate and crushed you from every side, that you would become a possession of the rest of the nations and you have been taken up in the talk and the whispering of the people.”’”
Man hat euch verwüstet und von allen Seiten bedroht, ihr seid in der Gewalt fremder Völker. Sie zerreißen sich das Maul über euch und haben nur Spott für euch übrig.
‘Therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD. Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains and to the hills, to the ravines and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes and to the forsaken cities which have become a prey and a derision to the rest of the nations which are round about,
Darum hört, was ich, Gott, der HERR, zu sagen habe: Ihr Berge und Hügel, ihr Bäche und Täler, ihr Trümmerfelder und menschenleeren Städte, die ihr geplündert und von den restlichen Nachbarvölkern verspottet wurdet,
therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Surely in the fire of My jealousy I have spoken against the rest of the nations, and against all Edom, who appropriated My land for themselves as a possession with wholehearted joy and with scorn of soul, to drive it out for a prey.”
ihr könnt sicher sein: In meinem glühenden Zorn habe ich das Urteil über eure Feinde gesprochen, ja, besonders über die Edomiter. Denn voller Verachtung und Schadenfreude haben sie mein Land an sich gerissen und das Weideland erbeutet.
‘Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel and say to the mountains and to the hills, to the ravines and to the valleys, “Thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Behold, I have spoken in My jealousy and in My wrath because you have endured the insults of the nations.’
Ihr Berge und Hügel in Israel, ihr Bäche und Täler, hört meine Botschaft. Ich, Gott, der HERR, schwöre: Weil die anderen Völker euch mit Schimpf und Schande überhäufen, bekommen sie meinen leidenschaftlichen Zorn zu spüren.
“Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, ‘I have sworn that surely the nations which are around you will themselves endure their insults.
Meine Hand erhebe ich zum Schwur und verspreche: Die Völker rings um euch werden bald selbst in Schimpf und Schande dastehen.
‘But you, O mountains of Israel, you will put forth your branches and bear your fruit for My people Israel; for they will soon come.
Aber auf euch, ihr Berge von Israel, sollen wieder Bäume wachsen, die Zweige treiben und Früchte tragen, damit mein Volk sie genießen kann. Denn schon bald wird es in sein Land zurückkehren.
‘For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you will be cultivated and sown.
Ihr werdet sehen: Ich wende mich euch wieder zu, ich komme euch zu Hilfe und sorge dafür, dass ihr von neuem bebaut und besät werdet.
‘I will multiply men on you, all the house of Israel, all of it; and the cities will be inhabited and the waste places will be rebuilt.
Ich mache ganz Israel wieder zu einem großen Volk; sie lassen sich in den Städten nieder und bauen alles auf, was jetzt noch in Trümmern liegt.
‘I will multiply on you man and beast; and they will increase and be fruitful; and I will cause you to be inhabited as you were formerly and will treat you better than at the first. Thus you will know that I am the LORD.
Ja, Menschen und Tiere sollen sich vermehren und das Land bevölkern. Dann werdet auch ihr Berge bewohnt sein wie in früheren Zeiten, und ich werde euch so viel Gutes erweisen wie nie zuvor. Daran sollt ihr erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
‘Yes, I will cause men — My people Israel — to walk on you and possess you, so that you will become their inheritance and never again bereave them of children.’
Ich bringe Menschen zurück ins Land, die dort aus- und eingehen. Dann wird mein Volk Israel euch Berge wieder in Besitz nehmen und für immer dort wohnen. Nie mehr sollt ihr ihnen die Nachkommen wegnehmen.
“Thus says the Lord GOD, ‘Because they say to you, “You are a devourer of men and have bereaved your nation of children,”
Ja, Land Israel, du hast den Ruf, ein Menschenfresser zu sein, der seinem Volk die Kinder raubt.
therefore you will no longer devour men and no longer bereave your nation of children,’ declares the Lord GOD.
Doch von nun an wirst du deine Bewohner nicht mehr verschlingen und die Menschen nicht mehr kinderlos machen. Das verspreche ich, Gott, der HERR.
“I will not let you hear insults from the nations anymore, nor will you bear disgrace from the peoples any longer, nor will you cause your nation to stumble any longer,” declares the Lord GOD.’”
Ich sorge dafür, dass du den Hohn und Spott anderer Völker nicht länger ertragen musst. Land Israel, nie mehr wirst du deinen Bewohnern den Tod bringen. Mein Wort gilt!«
Then the word of the LORD came to me saying,
Noch einmal empfing ich eine Botschaft vom HERRN. Er sprach zu mir:
“Son of man, when the house of Israel was living in their own land, they defiled it by their ways and their deeds; their way before Me was like the uncleanness of a woman in her impurity.
»Du Mensch, als mein Volk noch in Israel lebte, hat ihre große Schuld das ganze Land besudelt. Durch ihre Taten waren sie in meinen Augen so unrein wie eine Frau, die gerade ihre Tage hat.
“Therefore I poured out My wrath on them for the blood which they had shed on the land, because they had defiled it with their idols.
Sie haben das Blut unschuldiger Menschen vergossen und abscheuliche Götzen verehrt. Darum traf sie mein Zorn in seiner ganzen Härte:
“Also I scattered them among the nations and they were dispersed throughout the lands. According to their ways and their deeds I judged them.
Wegen ihrer Schuld hielt ich Gericht über sie; ich vertrieb sie zu anderen Völkern, in fernen Ländern mussten sie wohnen.
“When they came to the nations where they went, they profaned My holy name, because it was said of them, ‘These are the people of the LORD; yet they have come out of His land.’
Doch wohin sie auch kamen, brachten sie Schande über meinen heiligen Namen. Die Menschen, die ihnen begegneten, sagten: ›Sie sind das Volk des HERRN, und dennoch konnte er nicht verhindern, dass sie aus seinem Land vertrieben wurden.‹
“But I had concern for My holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations where they went.
Es schmerzte mich zu sehen, wie die Israeliten mich bei den anderen Völkern in Verruf brachten. Meine Ehre stand auf dem Spiel!
Israel to Be Renewed for His Name’s Sake
“Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for My holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you went.
Darum richte dem Volk Israel meine Botschaft aus. Sag ihnen: So spricht Gott, der HERR: Was ich für euch tun werde, geschieht nicht um euretwillen. Meine Ehre will ich retten, die ihr vor den Augen anderer Völker in den Schmutz gezogen habt.
“I will vindicate the holiness of My great name which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD,” declares the Lord GOD, “when I prove Myself holy among you in their sight.
Ja, ich sorge dafür, dass mein Name wieder geachtet und geehrt wird. Alle Völker sollen sehen, dass ich, der HERR, ein heiliger Gott bin. Darauf gebe ich mein Wort!
“For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands and bring you into your own land.
Ich hole euch zurück aus fernen Ländern und fremden Völkern und bringe euch in euer eigenes Land.
“Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.
Mit reinem Wasser besprenge ich euch und wasche so die Schuld von euch ab, die ihr durch euren abscheulichen Götzendienst auf euch geladen habt. Allem, was euch unrein gemacht hat, bereite ich dann ein Ende.
“Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
Ich will euch ein neues Herz und einen neuen Geist geben. Ja, ich nehme das versteinerte Herz aus eurer Brust und gebe euch ein lebendiges Herz.
“I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.
Mit meinem Geist erfülle ich euch, damit ihr nach meinen Weisungen lebt, meine Gebote achtet und sie befolgt.
“You will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God.
Dann wohnt ihr wieder in dem Land, das ich euren Vorfahren gegeben habe. Ihr werdet mein Volk sein, und ich werde euer Gott sein.
“Moreover, I will save you from all your uncleanness; and I will call for the grain and multiply it, and I will not bring a famine on you.
Ich befreie euch von eurer Schuld, die euch unrein machte. Das Getreide lasse ich wieder wachsen und gedeihen, damit ihr nie mehr Hunger leiden müsst.
“I will multiply the fruit of the tree and the produce of the field, so that you will not receive again the disgrace of famine among the nations.
Die Bäume sollen wieder Früchte tragen und die Felder reichen Ertrag bringen. Nie mehr werden die anderen Völker euch verspotten, weil ihr nichts zu essen habt.
“Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and your abominations.
Dann werdet ihr euch daran erinnern, wie falsch eure Wege und wie schlecht eure Taten waren. Wegen eurer Schuld und eurer widerlichen Taten werdet ihr euch selber verabscheuen.
“I am not doing this for your sake,” declares the Lord GOD, “let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your ways, O house of Israel!”
Ich, Gott, der HERR, sage euch Israeliten: Eins sollt ihr wissen: Nicht um euretwillen erweise ich euch so viel Gutes. Im Gegenteil, ihr müsst euch schämen für alles, was ihr getan habt!
‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be inhabited, and the waste places will be rebuilt.
Doch ich verspreche euch: Wenn ich euch von all eurer Schuld gereinigt habe, sollt ihr wieder in euren Städten wohnen. Ich sorge dafür, dass ihr die Häuser, die jetzt noch in Trümmern liegen, wieder neu aufbauen könnt.
“The desolate land will be cultivated instead of being a desolation in the sight of everyone who passes by.
Wer heute durch euer Land zieht, sieht bloß eine trostlose Wüste. Doch dann sollen eure Felder wieder bestellt werden.
“They will say, ‘This desolate land has become like the garden of Eden; and the waste, desolate and ruined cities are fortified and inhabited.’
Man wird sagen: ›Dieses verwüstete Land ist so schön wie der Garten Eden geworden! Die Städte waren einst niedergerissen, zerstört und vereinsamt — nun stehen sie wieder befestigt da und sind von Menschen bewohnt!‹
“Then the nations that are left round about you will know that I, the LORD, have rebuilt the ruined places and planted that which was desolate; I, the LORD, have spoken and will do it.”
Eure Nachbarvölker, die mein Strafgericht überlebt haben, sollen erkennen, dass ich selbst, der HERR, die verwüsteten Städte wieder aufbaue und die brachliegenden Felder bepflanze. Das habe ich versprochen, und ich werde es auch tun.
‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “This also I will let the house of Israel ask Me to do for them: I will increase their men like a flock.
Und noch eine weitere Bitte werde ich euch in dieser Zeit erfüllen: Ich lasse euch so zahlreich werden wie eine große Herde.
“Like the flock for sacrifices, like the flock at Jerusalem during her appointed feasts, so will the waste cities be filled with flocks of men. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”’”
So wie es früher an einem hohen Festtag in Jerusalem von Opfertieren wimmelte, sollen eure verlassenen Städte wieder bevölkert werden und voller Leben sein. Daran sollt ihr erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.«
