Saul and His Sons Slain

Mittlerweile hatte zwischen den Philistern und den Israeliten auf dem Gilboagebirge die Schlacht begonnen. Die Israeliten versuchten zu fliehen, aber viele von ihnen kamen um.

When his armor bearer saw that Saul was dead, he also fell on his sword and died with him.
Als der Diener sah, dass sein Herr tot war, ließ auch er sich in sein Schwert fallen und starb zusammen mit dem König.
Thus Saul died with his three sons, his armor bearer, and all his men on that day together.
So fielen an diesem Tag Saul, seine drei Söhne, sein Waffenträger und alle seine Männer.
