Promised Faithfulness to the Lord

A Psalm of David.

I will sing of mercy and justice;
To You, O Lord, I will sing praises.

Ein Psalm Davids. Von Huld und Recht will ich singen, dir, HERR, will ich spielen.

I will behave wisely in a [a]perfect way.
Oh, when will You come to me?
I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.

Auf den rechten Weg will ich achten. Wann kommst du zu mir? Ich lebe mit lauterem Herzen inmitten meines Hauses.

I will set nothing [b]wicked before my eyes;
I hate the work of those who fall away;
It shall not cling to me.

Ich setze mir nicht vor Augen, was Verderben bringt. Ich hasse es, Unrecht zu tun, es soll nicht an mir haften.

A perverse heart shall depart from me;
I will not know wickedness.

Falschheit sei meinem Herzen fern, ich will Böses nicht kennen.

Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor,
Him I will destroy;
The one who has a haughty look and a proud heart,
Him I will not endure.

Wer seinen Nächsten heimlich verleumdet, den bring ich zum Schweigen. Wer stolze Augen hat und ein hochmütiges Herz, den kann ich nicht ertragen.

My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land,
That they may dwell with me;
He who walks in a [c]perfect way,
He shall serve me.

Meine Augen suchen die Treuen im Land, sie sollen bei mir wohnen. Wer auf dem rechten Wege geht, der darf mir dienen.

He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house;
He who tells lies shall not [d]continue in my presence.

In meinem Haus wohne kein Betrüger, kein Lügner kann bestehn vor meinen Augen.

Early I will destroy all the wicked of the land,
That I may cut off all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.

Morgen für Morgen bring ich zum Schweigen alle Frevler des Landes, um auszurotten aus der Stadt des HERRN alle, die Unrecht tun.
