bis zum Mittelmeer. Die nördliche Grenze verlief vom Mittelmeer entlang dem Bach Kana hinauf nach Tappuach. Von dort führte sie ein Stück nordwärts nach Michmetat, wo sie sich wieder in Richtung Osten nach Taanat-Silo und Janoach wandte. Die Ostgrenze ging von Janoach über Atarot ins westliche Jordantal hinab, folgte dem Talverlauf über Naara bis Jericho und endete dort am Jordan. Diese Grenzen umschlossen das Gebiet Ephraims und seiner Sippen.

und geht aus gegen Abend bei Michmethath, das gegen Mitternacht liegt; daselbst lenkt sie sich herum gegen Aufgang gen Thaanath–Silo und geht da durch aufgangwärts gen Janoha

und läuft zum Meer. Von Michmetat im Norden wendet sich die Grenze ostwärts nach Taanat-Schilo und geht ostwärts daran vorbei nach Janoach.
