Hoffnung für Alle
Dann betete Josua: »Ach, HERR, warum hast du uns bloß über den Jordan geführt? Etwa damit uns die Amoriter besiegen und umbringen? Wären wir doch geblieben, wo wir waren!

Und Josua sprach: Ach HERR HERR, warum hast du dies Volk über den Jordan geführt, daß du uns in die Hände der Amoriter gäbest, uns umzubringen? O, daß wir’s uns hätten gefallen lassen, jenseit des Jordans zu bleiben!

und Josua sagte: Ach, Herr und GOTT! Warum hast du denn dieses Volk den Jordan überschreiten lassen? Um uns in die Hand der Amoriter zu geben, damit sie uns vernichten? Hätten wir uns doch dazu entschlossen, jenseits des Jordan zu bleiben!
