Doch als Davids Platz auch am zweiten Feiertag leer blieb, fragte Saul seinen Sohn: »Weißt du, warum dieser Sohn Isais weder gestern noch heute zum Essen gekommen ist?«

Des andern Tages nach dem Neumond, da man David vermißte an seinem Ort, sprach Saul zu seinem Sohn Jonathan: Warum ist der Sohn Isais nicht zu Tisch gekommen, weder gestern noch heute?

Als aber am zweiten Tag, dem Tag nach dem Neumond, der Platz Davids wieder leer blieb, sagte Saul zu seinem Sohn Jonatan: Warum ist der Sohn Isais gestern und heute nicht zum Essen gekommen?
