Aber Baesa, der Sohn Ahias, aus dem Hause Isaschar, machte einen Bund wider ihn und erschlug ihn zu Gibbethon, welches den Philistern gehört. Denn Nadab und das ganze Israel belagerten Gibbethon.

Als Nadab mit dem israelitischen Heer die Philisterstadt Gibbeton belagerte, zettelte Bascha, ein Sohn von Ahija aus dem Stamm Issachar, eine Verschwörung gegen ihn an und ermordete ihn dort. Dann wurde er selbst König über Israel. Dies geschah im 3. Regierungsjahr König Asas von Juda.

Bascha, der Sohn Ahijas, aus dem Stamm Issachar, zettelte eine Verschwörung gegen ihn an und erschlug ihn bei Gibbeton, das den Philistern gehörte. Nadab belagerte nämlich damals Gibbeton mit ganz Israel.
