Da sie nun der Philister Wache beide ins Gesicht kamen, sprachen die Philister: Siehe, die Hebräer sind aus ihren Löchern gegangen, darin sie sich verkrochen hatten.

So näherten sich die beiden ohne Deckung dem feindlichen Posten, bis sie gesehen wurden. »Sieh mal einer an«, begannen die Philister zu spotten, »die Hebräer kommen aus den Löchern hervorgekrochen, in denen sie sich versteckt haben!«

Die beiden zeigten sich also dem Posten der Philister. Die Philister sagten: Seht nur, die Hebräer sind aus ihren Löchern hervorgekommen, in denen sie sich versteckt hatten.
