Er schrie zum HERRN und der HERR zeigte ihm ein Stück Holz. Als er es ins Wasser warf, wurde das Wasser süß. Dort gab er dem Volk Gesetz und Rechtsentscheide und dort stellte er es auf die Probe.

Mose flehte den HERRN um Hilfe an, und der HERR zeigte ihm ein Stück Holz. Als Mose es ins Wasser warf, wurde das Wasser genießbar. In Mara gab Gott seinem Volk Gesetze und Regeln, nach denen sie leben sollten, und stellte sie auf die Probe.
