Ich werde ihn mit deinem Gewand bekleiden und ihm deine Schärpe fest umbinden. Deine Herrschaft gebe ich in seine Hand und er wird zum Vater für die Einwohner Jerusalems und für das Haus Juda.

und will ihm deinen Rock anziehen und ihn mit deinem Gürtel gürten und deine Gewalt in seine Hand geben, daß er Vater sei derer, die zu Jerusalem wohnen und des Hauses Juda.

Ich ziehe ihm deine Amtstracht an und binde ihm deinen Gürtel um. Alle Vollmachten, die du bisher innehattest, übertrage ich ihm. Er wird wie ein Vater sein für die Einwohner Jerusalems und für das ganze Volk von Juda.
